Big East action tonight at 8 PM.
It's either this or Kentucky vs. St. John's in hoops, if my digital cable is any indication. Pick a game. Discuss.
I think WVU vs. USF would be an interesting game. I like watching both teams play...although I don't like either one.
I sort of like the idea that, now and again, I can just sit and watch a game and not really give a f*ck about the outcome. I can just play shithouse analyst and like it.
Dana H looks like Michael Bolton. No longer how long you grow your hair out in the back, we still know you are going bald.
The breeze thinned it further in all the wrong places. It was Bolton standing near an A/C vent.
I'd go with Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs...
Dana: It puts the lotion on it's skin or else it gets the hose again.
Recruit: I don't think I want to come here anymore.
"I once ran a draw play, and as I blew by a defensive back, I ate with with some fava beans and a nice chianti"
It's not funny anymore.
The coonskin cap and rifle should be enough evidence to remove the auto-bid.
EDIT: Craig James alert! Tampa, hide your hookers.
If performance is any indicator, it appears that the Big East would like their auto-bid taken away as well.
At least the Big East gives us decent football on weekday nights.
They call it containment, and it isn't always stamped with the vaunted "Rubbermaid" logo.
While one plays a team from Florida keeping outside contain all day is a good idea.
Still makes me laugh that ND lost to South Florida.
....that it is a challenge for your defense to find the football.
4th and short for WV, on the other hand. Apparently, 4th and short encapsulates their season, if you ask ESPN.
The headset makes Dana Holgorsen look more bald.
I really enjoy watching these two QBs. Especially Geno Smith. Most slept on QB in the nation IMO.
Just lost the game to American Guns on DVR,.. ugh. Wife wins but at least we negotiate. RowOne out.
Either way I love Thursday night football, it gives me a perfectly good reason to accomplish nothing.
...by the Mountaineers hits the uprights. I want to attribute this to trying to short-gain the Bulls to death. It didn't pan out there.
jesus christ WVU recovers it on the 5 and they don't get a TD?
Both teams have had their return and kicking teams out their longer than the offense and defense. I don't know if the path to bowl eligibility really should involve this much punting in the non-AQ world.
FIFA, Halo Whatever, MW3, or Geometry Wars would beat this game out in a heartbeat.
Yeah singing center! Sexy!
I was disappointed that it wasn't something like "Seventy-Six Trombones" though....don't ask me why.
Can ANYONE tell me the point of even having replay officials ????
I just had another Hemingway and Fitz flashback.
Roughing the trombone player:
Big Ernie McCracken, Bill Murray's character in King Pin.
Casteel had to bring a lot of new guys along this year on his defense. The WVU d has really progressed this year, like they do every year. Does USF have an offensive TD tonight?
Yes, but WV doesn't. WV's TD's are a pick six and a kickoff return.
Geno Smith looks like Forrest Whitaker.
USF just scored two TD;s, most recently a pick six to take a 27-29 lead.
Edit: Meant 27-20. now tied .
Weren't penalties not reviewable?
A couple are, such as illegal substitution to see if too many players were on the field. Remember when Tennessee beat LSU with a goal line stand on the last play of the game but was reviewed for 12 men on the field? Gave LSU another shot and they won the game because of it.
South florida was horribly undisciplined. That is on the coach (holtz).
The worst penalty was on Ryne Giddens, a player from local powerhouse Armwood, right down I-75 from USF. He was a "victory" for USF in recruiting because he chose them over Florida. He really blew the game for USF. I agree that it is on Skip Holtz.
I wonder how the USF administration feels about their hatchet job on Jim Leavitt now?
Leavitt did a terrific job building the USF program...however, he had the same issues that Skip has, start off strong...then disappear. If Skip can't get a full year effort next year, its time to start shopping for a new coach. I took my 4 year old son (he loves the Bulls) to the Miami@USF game this year and it was the most painful game I have ever had to sit through offensively.
I only watched the 4th quarter, but what a debacle. A fumble on first down by BJ Daniels when USF was in position to run out the clock for a winning field goal. Then, on the ensuing WVU last drive, a personal foul (basically after the play) on what would have been a 4th down for WVU, an offsides, and two(!) illegal substitution penalties.
WVU didn't so much march down the field as the ambled down it as a confused USF looked on. I will give WVU credit for that last play before the FG (a really nice catch), but that was it.
I'm glad I don't have to watch USF football on a regular basis.
Dana Holgorsen looks like a belligerent drunk even when he's sober (I'm assuming he didn't show up drunk for this game).
