OT: West Virginia University is Princeton Review's #1 Party School

 

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia University is back on top for the first time in five years, bumping off Ohio University to reclaim its title as the nation's No. 1 party school.

WVU hasn't held the top spot since 2007, but the rankings announced Monday by The Princeton Review make it the third time. WVU was also No. 1 in 1997, and it's been among the top 20 party schools 12 times in the 21 years the rankings have been published.

Not surprisingly, WVU also ranks No. 1 in the "Lots of Beer" category.

Funny how they include that WVU scored a 93/99 on fire safety, yet they attached a picture of a bunch of blasted bros dancing around a burning pile of garbage. I wonder how MSU scored in the fire safety category..

I guess those Princeton Review folks never visited Madison. Nothing against Morgantown, but it is one of those cities where you hope your car doesn't die as you cross the Alleghenies.

I think it might have been playboy, but I heard WVU stopped being ranked, saying something along the lines of "We can't rank professionals amongst amateurs."

I've seen videos, and they're crazy mountain people.

but I have partied up and down the east coast, midwest, and west coast.  There is nothing like opening weekend at WVU or as some people call it the first week of school.

Drink a pint of tequila, 12 beers and start one post about Justin Boren in bad taste and end up with - 590 points.

There's not much to do in West Virginia, and WVU's academics don't seem particularly greuling. I assume that the alcohol flows like water there.

My cousin went to school there and is now a dispatcher for campus police. He agrees with this article.

After a painless registration process (although you'll be asked to selected which test you would like to hear more about), you can get to the comprehensive rankings.

In a short, non-comprehensive search, we find that Ann Arbor is #10 on the "College City Gets High Marks List", and Michigan ranked #19 in the "Great Financial Aid" category, #16 in "Best College Newspaper" and #9 in "Students Pack The Stadiums".

We hate Michigan State. We don't like Penn State too. We don't care for Minnesota, Wisconsin or Notre Dame but we all hate O-S-U.
