Why should I care that some random dude on a random baseball team got kidnapped? This isn't a Washington National blog. I'm not sure that those even exist.
People get kidnapped in Venezuela all the time. If he pulled an Ugueth Urbina or if a Colombian Neck Tie was involved I might care.

If your point was that the US media sensationalizes famous people who are kidnapped while ignoring thousands of other kidnapped Venezuelans, then I'd agree with you. However, that wasn't your point. Instead, you were being an ass and nonchalantly dismissing a serious problem.
