landing spot. will be interesting to see how he does.

I'm sure most of us with be courteous enough to have some spoiler alert signs for you West Coasters.
You don't expect not to see the score. I'd say stay out if you're not watching. I would.
Edited because it was a different Bill Murray avatar.
Does anyone know a good site to watch it on? I unfortunately do not and can not get AMC. I've been watching it online at www.watchseries.eu. For some reason yesterday's episode will not work. I'm addicted and want to continue watching. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(save it everyone, it's on the "to watch" list, don't worry), but I am looking forward to new Luck, Californication and Eastbound and Down tonight.
Sitting here in my living room while the girlfriend watches Harry Potter and reads some impressive sounding engineering book, about to crack open a beer and crack the windows. Another beautiful night.
Part of my sports career as well. Men's softball however- slow pitch!
about her pitching in there somewhere.
I don't know how you engineering types do it; I can see the lure of some of the "sexy" jobs building jet engines or a new biomedical device and everything, but the work itself...let's just say it doesn't seem like my thing.
More props to all of you that do it, though; I don't know many engineering students back at IU to compare salaries with, but I bet at M the average engineering student has better financial prospects than the average Ford student, (my field) to say the least, so you're obviously wanted/needed by the world.
Live large and retire well!
If that is the new-ish show with Dustin Hoffman, I believe they are cancelling it because two or more horses died on the set. I read something about that on IGN. If not, sorry for wasting time with the post.
You're right. That's too bad, I was starting to enjoy it and everything.
Can't wait till the season 5 premier next Sunday. Sorry, i know it is not on tonight but one of the best shows on TV is finally coming back in a week.
I love Mad Men, and it needs to be on again. Two hours is a damn long premiere, though (not that I'm not looking forward to it).
They are starting it at 9 as oppose to 10. I had the same thought as you though.
Playing like, well, Ohio. Low seeded teams that spring an upset rarely move on. Exceptions exist like George Mason a couple years ago, but most flame out. Norfolk State down 28 in the first half.
I would personally fellate each and every writer if Lori and Carl were to bite it this episode.
True that. I'm tired of those f***ers not watching that brat. Stay in the damn house Carl!
I've heard some VERY interesting things about what will happen in this finale. I won't share any of them here but will give a couple teasers. These are all rumors so don't take any of this too seriously.
For those of you who have followed the comics (not me), there may be a location change at the end of the episode that will be familiar too you.
There is also rumors of a certain new character from the comics being introduced near the end of tonight's episode.
I have also heard that this finale is going to be INTENSE. So....buckle up I guess? Is that only for recruiting?
Shit's gonna get pretty good next season with the introduction of The Governor. Should be fun and a whole 'nother level of grim.
Does anyone know where I can watch it online?
Anyone else a Shameless watcher?
I AM EXCITE
I think we'll see a lot of good guys fall in this episode. It was hard enough losing Dale
I'm not sure we'll see all that many characters killed. If people do die it will probably be the crappy support characters from Hershel's camp that have only shown up about 5 minutes total this season. Personally I know we all want Lori and Carl dead, but sorry that's not happening.
But not gonna happen. Actually in the comic Andrea and Carl are pretty decent characters. In the TV show, Lori and Ricks are the worst parents in the world: You have one son, the world is crawling with flesh-eating zombies, and you can't keep track of him or keep him from wandering off for even a few minutes.
Hope we see the prison and not a fade out scene of them all running with their tales between their legs.
The prison seems like the logical next stage for the show to go, but they're going to need to introduce Michonne and Tyreese to have it follow the comic.
Well the The Governor is cast for next season, so Woodbury doesn't seem too far in the future.
If they skip the prison might as well skip meshone(sp) and tyrese and go straight to woodbury
omgomgomg starting now
Are pretty sucky today. I'm in for the live airing.
Glad to see they didn't take Jon Bernthal aka Shane out of the credits.
Do you know where your kid is, you dumb bitch?
See, Shane had it all wrong. He should have killed DB Lori and raised Carl jointly with Rick.
And Jimmy is the first crappy character to die.
PS: Holy shit Prometheus trailer, Ridley Scott is the man.
Shaping up to be a good night.
Edit- followed by an even better Kate Upton commercial.
that got eaten? Didn't recognize him.
They just showed a trailer for Prometheus while The Walking Dead was on a commercial break! That movie is going to be awesome!
Well the helicopter at the start obviously means woodbury is coming probably sooner then later
Herschel ain't too bad with that 12 guage.
He had the unlimited ammo cheat on too
yes the fiancee' and I were laughing about that too.
Anyone know the cheat code for that?
up down up down left right left right B A?
You forgot select and start
was kind of wondering about that myself but won't let details get in the way...dude can load and fire
They're just gonna let the barn burn? Don't they know only they can prevent forest fires?
2nd Trailer came out yesterday
Anyone else see the zombie run in pittsburgh? I move here and that happens when ill be in dallas. Wtf!
All these episodes and they don't have walkie talkies yet? And they're FREE on the store shelves, along with a shit load of batteries.
You don't think other survivors had that same idea and wiped the shelves clean?
but it seems like most everyone was wiped out in the beginning.
Negging every post doesn't do anthing if I just plus 'em back. You have less of a life than the Walking Dead.
Your karma is 2 again!
(I started paying attention to these sorts of things only because I briefly held a karma of 3 before getting negged to death, hitting 0 for a minute, and now sitting pretty at 1.)
Your comment followed one of mine, but I haven't negged anyone...in a LONG time.
Who no doubt would never post in the thread and is butthurt about something or another that doesn't really matter.
Am I the only one that finds Andrea extremely attractive?
Yes, I'd hit that...glad you asked.
Than she does in the show.
I wish she was Holden me right now.
she sure is, and she's why I made sure to catch Talking Dead last night...good to see here outside the show
Was it just me or did anyone else think of the Hot Shots bloodiest movie ever scene during the zombie blasting?
Wasnt cold wandering around the forest day and night, but NOW he's cold.
So Rick kills his best friend to save his family, and his wife goes full on b!tch mode, when she basically said earlier than Shane would never stop thinking that Lori and Carl were his. God damn Lori is the worst ever.
this isn't exactly the reaction I'd want from my wife, after I offed her lover.
That she never knows where her damn kid is?
She's mad because now she'll never feel Shane inside her anymore.
So now the anger with Rick will start? Guess there is more to her as well. Kid must be Shanes.
And there she is, awesome intro for Michonne.
and what's with the armless guys in chains? Strange twist.
She's arguably the best character in the novels. She wields a samuri sword and carries, "escorts" with her so that the walkers won't smell her. Her escorts have their arms and lower jaws cut off so they won't attack her.
And it also looks like the Prison is next. Holy Shit that was an awesome season finale.
Where did the samurai come from!!
Who was that masked man?
well that just took a weird turn.....
Damn it now we have to wait to find out who in the hell that was.
Or you could read the comic...
To say the least... Not sure what to think or what that Whitehouse/ Fort Sumter looking compound they showed at the way end was.
(edit: A prison perhaps?)
(editedit: a prison.)
Yes the prison and the samurai babe! Let season 3 rock!
awesome finale. I cant wait for Lori to die.
Torrenting the rest of the comics right...now...
here ya go
Most of the series, downloadable?
Yep, the comic series. You'll need bitcomet or azureus vuze to facilitate the torrent (at least, those are what I have on my laptop), but it's definitely worth having. It doesn't necessarily spoil the tv series as they haven't been entirely synonymous.
Not sure my Mac can handle all of that.
Issue 94 is the newest one, if you're a comic book nerd you will love the graphic novels.
thanks for putting that up - was going to start looking for them today myself - is that all of them?
There are 94 issues. The 95th comes out on the 28th.
That download has 1-90, correct? I am seeding but already feeling guilty. Will probably assuage some of that by buying the DVD sets when they come out. I also have the whole TV series downloaded for now. Fun to go back and look at some of the earlier ones.
The first part of that episode was so intense!! Great finale. Can't wait for the new season!!!
I strongly disagree...actually think they do a great job
Good talking Dead episode tonight also...those guys are good
The writing for this show is just pathetic. So much dumb.
>park our super-reliable Winnebago by the barn
>lets take a look around
I want all of these characters to die.
I enjoy the show, but a lot of the characters' decisions make it difficult for me to feel any sort of sympathy for their situation.
The fact that you took the time to read through all of these posts, about a topic you don't even like, is just pathetic...
I like the show.
You claim to like a show that you think has horrible writers?
Is that bad? I read the graphic novels and watch the show. I simply find it difficult connecting to characters who make decisions without rationality. It's just little things, I suppose.
For example, in season 1, Glenn shows up to the quarry with a red Dodge sportscar--and then they strip it for parts that wouldn't even be compatible with a 1972 Winnebago. The same vehicle that Dale was constantly repairing.
I'm not hating on the show or anything. Nor am I meaning to "troll". I'm just voicing my opinion.
No idea why you are getting down voted. I agree that something is making the show worse than it was in the beginning. I assumed it was the absense of Darabont.
Why you're being negged. Becasue you have an opinion that's a tad bit different I suppose; nothing new. I agree though. I like the show, very much. The characters are pretty annoying and mindless, though. I feel overall the writing is pretty good, but maybe that is part of the "problem" for me. Some things make it a bit unrealistic which, as opined about already, takes away from being able to connect with the show 100%.
My biggest beef is why these damn people don't run over the walkers/herds of walkers and kill them that way; at least slow them down, inhibiting them from "walking" and take them out while they're down. The loss of the Winnebago was pretty pathetic as well; utter fail.
All in all I like the intensity and drama it brings. As always, I just have a few opinions and critiques.
It's not Grand Theft Auto...physics says you could be causing some serious damage to your car. Maybe not each and every time, but you mow down enough, and you're bound to smash something, or get something stuck in some part of the car, and at this point losing working transportation when you're trying to make an escape is not the best call.
I had a bigger problem with them wild west show shooting from a moving car (and actually hitting stuff). I mean if Rick and the brat can go running through them like they're a dong forest, there's no reason not to stop the car, take careful aim, and then pull out when it starts getting too close.
Hitting a target the size of a head with a handgun is hard enough at those distances. Throw in the fact that they were doing the shooting from a moving vehicle and it becomes damn near impossible.
...we're underestimating the half a shooting lesson they had from Shane. (Or in Andrea's case, the one and a half lessons).
That should be one of the stages on Top Shot. Who ever can hit a walking zombie in the head with a .45 from a moving car wins.
After the second season turned out to just be about politics in the group. The Network thought we were watching for reality show drama, when it was really more an athletic competition. Or should have been.
Cannot wait for season three this fall!
Finale lived up to it's hype. Jimmy and Patricia were really background characters so their deaths weren't all that powerful but we already had that with Dale and Shane the last couple weeks.
The helicopter in the beginning was confusing, though. Were the walkers following it or did they suddenly become smart enough to know that there were no more humans left in the city to feast on so they went into the countryside?
There is a big concept in the comic about how herds act. It's basically what you think it is, if one zombie starts to notice something than most zombies notice the same thing and in turn act the same way.
For example: The one zombie was walking into that wooden fence, the others saw and acted the way the first one did and over time the gate broke. Since one walker saw a helicopter it followed in the same direction that the helicopter was going, other walkers saw it and did the same thing.
You've combined my love of Zombie Apocalypse with my hatred of the Buckeyes and their stupid minions.
You have the won the internets.
Dang great finale! Interesting to hear the producers say after on "Talking Dead" the plan was to kill Hershel but they couldn't pull the trigger. Glad they didn't, old man wielding the shotgun =badass
I don't know why all the woman on this show are on permanent PMS. You cook and clean and then bitch about the protection being provided?
Carol and Lori need to take a long walk off a short pier. Freaking poor Rick the guy can't win. Even his bitch wife, that treats him like donkey dung who also can't keep tabs on their brat for 2 seconds, is piling on his ass.
Lori basically put Shane and Rick into a ring and said "fight" and then when Rick finally kills Shane she freaks out on him. I have no idea why, but I hope she gets bit in the face.
Also, what is with the women saying they should all split up? So stupid.
No cell phones or means of communication and they constantly want to split up. I don't get that either
Yes, by the end I wanted to see Little Man and his bitch mother having their entrails eaten. If I was Rick about now I'd be looking at Andrea with a lustful gaze. "This is not a democracy anymore." Especially in your own family, dude.
Isn't that typical horror movie woman strategy?
Great finale! I love Daryl on the bike, he looked all Duke Nukem.
Should be a lot of new characters once they enter the prison, as did the comics.
Shane always questioned the decisions Rick made. Rick wasn't able to lead, he was weak and all that BS. He killed his best friend because he wanted to kill him for his wife and son. I can't believe Lori had the balls to act like she did towards Rick. She pushed and pushed Rick on how unpredictable and unsafe Shane was. What did she expect? Rick was right to say enough and that he was the leader and that was it. I am glad he finally decided to say 'This is no longer a democracy'. If the crew didn't like it, no one was going to stop them from leaving. Lori you are to blame. Rick should remember the tears Carl shed for the man that wanted to kill his father. SHAME on them.
