OT: Walking Dead Thread
Okay people, what is going to happen tonight? Rick, Carl and Michonne make it out alive on their trip to find more help? Does Lori come back as a ghost yet again? (/s) Will the Governor finally attack the prison with his army of asthmatic kids and elderly women?
Commence.
will kill all of the zombies on his own. Kidding, I think Rick is in search of ammunition. But srsly, Trey Burke probably could.
I've never watched this show before. Should I watch this episode or start from the beginning?
Watch from the beginning...no question. You'll be hooked.
Watch from the last episode of season 2. You'll get the just of it.
I started watching from the beginning of this season and later watched like the first 4 episodes. I've been able to follow, but that's in part due to me watching it with a couple rabid fans.
Get your free trial of Netflix and start from the beginning.
A few other suggestions -
House of Cards (the new Kevin Spacey version)
Sherlock (BBC production)
MI-5 (BBC production)
Beginning.
I just started last week from the start. I just finished disc one of season two (Carl is getting better on the farm and Sophia is still missing) and this show is crazing addicting. I always laughed it off when people said this but damn they were right.
I will finish season two this week. Is there a website that has all of season three on it.
Remember in the first season when Rick left the hospital and met up with the black guy and his son? I think somehwere down the line they meet back up. This season appears to be coming to an end with an epic battle at the prison. Ive been thinking for sometime that that guy and his son will reunite with Rick. He will bring his group and provide back up for the group.
Looks like someone read the spolier thread online this week?
I promise I haven't. I've been thinking about it since the beginning of last season. That meeting made me believe that there's more to come with him.
Plus I won't even watch the preview for the following episode because I don't want it to ruin it for me. I want to be oblivious going into the new episode.
Sure, sure =) Morgan will indeed make a return sometime.
Welp, hope you didn't just spoil that. Because if so, that sucks.
They've all but shown he's making a return. And now on the "previously on the walking dead" they have a flashback from season 1 of Rick trying to make contact with Morgan. I'm sorry if I blew it for you 20 minutes early but it's looked this way for a week now.
YES. I bring this up to people all the time and they always say "I forgot about that guy!" It seems weird that they would only put him in the show for one episode.
What about that Mexican family too? They went to Alabama I think.
I read an article somewhere that Rick has a moment that snaps him back to reality this week. Hoping thats true, I'm getting sick of crazy rick. Got a feeling tonights episode is going to be good. Possible prison group v Woodbury tonight?
Please god will Andrea just die already
Would you rather see Herschel naked?
That poor guy all by himself running. At least he's not Oscar Pistorius. Too soon?
Omg!!!!
Omg!!!!!!!!!
Is somewhat sane and can stick around for a few episodes at least.
Maybe he'll hang around for a bit, but I think it's clear now that he's certainly not sane.
I really like that actor though. He was awesome on jericho. Still pissed that got canceled by the way.
Away from the comics. Which was an even more striking revelation. But you have to hire actors; in comics you just draw them. And I'll second cozy- he was also a great bad guy on Human Target. So versatile.
I was hoping Duane would've been alive too
Was eaten by his own mom. That's fucked up.
This is a top notch episode so far.
Agreed, that was a great episode, and was a perfect way to progress the show without progressing the main plot line unlike everything in season 2.
Too many faces talking to each other.
Damn Michone is a ninja.
Does anyone else think the Black and White episode is a stupid idea?
Why is it a stupid idea?
What does it hurt? Black and white is a dying/dead (no pun intended) artform and there's a connection there to the comic books which I believe are in black and white?
And it's a way for people to see old episodes in sequence.
They are indeed in the black and white.
This. The comics are so good. This is how I see the shows. Michonne's character in the comics is my favorite. I hope the pick up her character in the show to match her print counterpart.
Stupid idea may be poor language. I am just not excited about it.
I thought so as well, until I watched a full episode. It truly is amazing.
What did they pick up at the end?
the hitchhikers backpack.
That hitchhikers backpack/gear that he had with him before he died (assuming all that blood in the road was from him.)
The backpack of the guy on the side of the road that they ignored earlier in the episode.
Pretty bleak, cold ending, even for TWD.
The backpack of the guy that they didn't help at the start of the episode.
Watching Vikings first on History channel then a The Walking Dead encore episode later. Both should be good tv tonight.
It was another filler episode but it was still good. Finding out what happened to Morgan was good and Rick needed a chance to learn to trust Michonne somewhat. She also revealed something about her past (talking to her dead boyfriend) that she never told Andrea the whole year they were on the run together.
I still wouldn't shed a tear if Carl became feast for a walker or two.
Whats in the bag? Hmm
Maybe they will learn that the guy that they left to die was someone they knew.
That was one of the better episodes since season one in my opinion. So sad to see what became of Morgan and how it paralleled Rick's descent. Good stuff.
