OT: Walking Dead Season 4 Trailer Released

Submitted by An Angelo's Addict on

The trailer for season 4 of The Walking Dead has been released and it looks phenomenal. Season premier is Oct 13th, 2013. Obviously we have some time but this is one of the best shows on T.V right now so it's never too early to get excited!

I also love the new character addition of that guy from the waterboy!

The last season was a huge let down. We spent 4 weeks waiting for "War" and got nothing. I still love the show but you can tell the budget cuts have watered it down a bit. I do admit thought that I think the Governor should stook around for a bit, he's a great character.

I agree that it was better before the prison. Their being on the move was more exciting and nerve racking. They never knew what to expect and where, which is not really the case at the prison. I don't like how protected they are.

Also, the governor character got old really fast.

Mad Men doesn't belong anywhere near those others (including TWD). Should have went with Boardwalk Empire... Even Justified and Dexter are more deserving, despite the last season of each.

I agree that things took a turn for the worse after season one of TWD. But I still don't miss an episode.

The guy got attacked by a zombie in the beginning, and then there was a really long speech and the whole thing had this theme of not knowing who the real monsters are; zombies or humanity. That episode ruled.

I lost my faith in this show last season, but this trailer makes season 4 look a lot more promising. They simply don't have enough interesting characters for the dialogue-heavy episodes that made up 90% of last season

Well the last episode really showed that they are straying pretty far from the comic storyline so a lot of us are in the dark along with everyone else.

Walking Dead is SUCH a good show.  Sure, the show isn't perfect, but compared to all the other crap that is on tv these days, this show is about as good as it gets.

He should not be referred to as that guy from The Waterboy, he should only be referred to as De'Angelo Barksdale from the greatest television show ever The Wire.

I am an avid reader of the comics.  I too was confused at how the whole Governer situation was handled, but Kirkman has said many times that the show and comics are two seperate entities.  The show borrows from the source material, but that's about it.

With that sad, I think the term "jumped the shark" is thrown around way too loosely.  The first part of last season was amazing.  The second part lost soom steam.  The last episode was pretty disappointing to those of us that read the comic, but, I fail to see how this show jumped the shark.  Honestly, you think Walking Dead has hit complete rock bottom that it will never be able to recover?  Come on now...  That would be like me saying Game of Thrones jumped the shark after the Red Wedding episode.

I came late to the party myself, and was sucked into season 1 right away. Now (I can't remember if I was on season 2 or 3) it's gotten to be a pretty tough slog, but I feel like I committed enough time to it that I should see it through. Then I find arrested development again and forget about the walking dead for a couple weeks.

Season 1 was great. Fast paced and some really creative moments.

Season 2 was frustrating, mostly because the pace was slooooooowwwww at the beginning and then there was just some really awful character moments like Dale and Lori and the running joke that is T-Dogg (oh boy, that T-Dogg...). It's probably better with Netflix now that you don't have to wait a few weeks to resolve some dumb, practically forgotten early storylines. It improves greatly after the halfway point.

Season 3 was definitely faster paced, but again, just some really bad character moments (including one that lasts almost the entire season) and entire episodes that just felt pointless and dragged out. It's funny though, cause the best episode of season 3 actually had nothing to do with main stroyline for the season.

watch arrested development and trying to watch what netflix has of the walking dead before the new season starts in September(tv season). I've been dieing to watch the show, wife wants to see it but studying lately for her hasn't let me see anything longer then 30mins a night together. we plan to watch them each night in a row non stop. I don't mind drama, as long as its good acting.

Wow ya I can't believe I overlooked that he played Barksdale as well. I am also hoping that season 4 gets the group out of the prison. Would be fun to see them on the run again

I have to admit that after the wild swings of quality from episode to episode of Seasons 2 & 3, I was on the fence about whether this show could ever string together a few good episodes in a row, but damn this is looking very good again. Hopefully this season finally brings some consistency on AND off screen.

edit: I forgot that the current guy running the show wrote the three best episodes of season 2

Can't make a thread but Bakich picked up a great 2014 commitment from Michael Hendrickson from nearby Saline High School. He is a LHP that sits mid-to-high 80's and comes from a great program in Saline. Hendrickson will pair with transfer from Brother Rice 2015 Kentucky commit Josh Smith for Saline this year. He is also a LHP, this gives Saline two of the best pitchers in the State and makes them the favorite for the Michigan State Title in the Spring

Fun little teaser!

Now if anyone sees a Game of Thrones one let me know! Finally bought the books after the Red Wedding episode and can't wait to see how things are going to play out on screen. Should be another great season!

for this season.  And Brendan Gibbons is a fan.  So there's that.  For all the Walking Dead fans out there, you must see "The Walking Dead-A Bad Lipreading".  It is hilarious.
