Bill Welke is! And strike 3 will make the count 3-2.

Hey, this morning I took my trash out to the curb. Then Bill Welke reversed my decision and pushed it back to my door step and tipped it over.

Well I've said this before last season the Tigers were 26-26 and 6 games back in the AL Central on May 29, 2011. They're 23-25 and 4 games back on the same exact date this year. Last season's record end up at 95-67 heading into the playoffs. So I'll wait out on hitting the panic button until August, especially in a weak division like the AL Central.

This was the month where we were really supposed to open things up. There was a lot of Minnesota, Seattle, Oakland, Pittsburgh, teams that, frankly, are not good at all. And we're past Memorial Day under .500.

I think we're in bigger trouble than people realize.

For a moment, I thought David Ortiz was in slow motion, but then I realized that the ball would need to roll to Cambridge before he could get a triple. Further, that slide of his had "I'm hosed" written all over it.

Sadly, it's now 5-1 Red Sox.

EDIT: Prince puts one about 400 feet horizontal and ionosphere vertical to make it 5-2 Red Sox.

Where is the "where is all the haters" crowd tonight. The same group that was bragging about beating MINNESOTA. And the ones that say lets have a rational discussion that is only rational if you agree with me and Leyland should stay?

Love the mob mentality here.

Rational discussion is almost never scored -1, it's the assholes that think firing Leyland is suddenly going to help the offense hit with men on base, or field well enough to turn a double play.

Lots of people just started watching baseball this past year and think everything is the managers fault when in fact it's more Dombrowskis fault for giving Smokes a 1 dimensional lineup that can only score on solo HR's right now.

I'm starting to worry about this team, but I don't need to come here and vent incoherent and irrational thoughts.

but i've seen plenty of posts that have MORE than Rawr fire leyland, Rayburn sucks, cut crInge, get scored -1. Most of it is scored "trolling" because it is disagreeing. (There is plenty of idiots around who do the former as well though).

I'd rather question ideas like maintaining all slots of the batting order when someone gets a day off, (including Berry going from Toledo to leading off, even though it looks good right now), his seemingly mindless love for Don Kelly, and his varying rants in hypocritical directions.

I won't do it to you, but anyone who spells his name Rayburn, Raybum, or Kburn gets an auto -1 you arent funny and you're immature. We can discuss Raburn, he's likely to get sent down this weekend when AJ comes back, Leyland all but said it this morning on the radio.

Points mean nothing here anymore and regardless my ego isn't tied to points.  (Blah POINTS NEG) However, I thought it should have been clear I too was mocking the very idiots you were mentioning.

AFAIK Raburn's 10 and 5 vests come June 8th, so he would have to get sent down before then. I might be wrong but i haven't heard anything about AJ coming back this weekend, and have only been hearing negative news about his retur, but i hope you're right.. Hopefully that is the move they'd make. If they keep Raburn and/or Kelly to send down Berry i will be besides myself.

Jackson is eligible to come off Friday and his MRI was negative last week so I'm just assuming he'll be back because thats all the info I have to go on. I do agree though if Raburn isn't sent down then I'll be pretty upset.

Not the same. At least it could be argued that Raburn could go either way. Plus he gave as his other examples derogatory nicknames whereas 'Rayburn' appears to be a simple spelling error. Now, how long before a moderator negatively impacts my account to -1,000,000?

Vivz

But it really doesn't matter if its a spelling error or not. People posting on here should see him and thus his name bitched about quite often. Even if thats not the case and you're not quite sure it would take 2 seconds to google it. As far as the other nicknames they are on the same level as O$U and scUM.

Let's make this crystal clear. The Tigers are failing with a lot of talent. When a manager isn't suceeding with great resources they are fired. I have been watching baseball longer than most on here have been alive. I understand that many managers below .500 are replaced, and the team doesn't get better quickly. I simply feel Jim isn't getting the most out of his resources. I apologize for not agreeing with you, which makes my opinion incoherent. If my boss gave me more resources and my numbers went down, well I would be gone.

That's the first post you've made about the Tigers that wasn't just "Fuck Leyland! Fire his ass! He has a career losing record!". So don't bitch about people calling you incoherent, because you have been

Great to be back at the Old Gal tonight. The Olde Towne Team finally gets above .500. It was a great win, especially against a great pitcher like Verlander.

At the end of the game, I've got to say I pitied Verlander a bit:

At the end of the day, I didn't go to see the Sox so much as I did to see Verlander. While I was very pleased that the Sox won, I was also disappointed that Verlander wasn't at his best. I remember the days when Pedro pitched that there was a certain aura in the air. I wish there was a similar aura tonight, but I think that's more due to the watering down of Sox fans than anything else. Even still, 10 hits...I'm proud of the Sox.
