OT: USMNT vs. Denmark Friendly

USMNT is taking on Denmark in a friendly. 0-0 after 18 minutes. US roster is loaded with European based players.

F: Altidore & Aron Johannson

M: Bradley, Bedoya, Gyasi Zardes and Fabian Johnson

D: Greg Garza. John Brooks, Michael Orozco, and Timothy Chandler

G: Rimando

I think it's less about conditioning and more about trying to fit new players together who have little experience with each other, which does include the mass of subs in friendlies. You could add in there guys like Brek Shea playing LB and Jermaine Jones playing CB, which are new positions for them, respectively. That said, Omar Gonzalez and Matt Besler didn't do themselves many favors in late 2014 friendlies, either. Weird guys, you might say.

I think another part of it is simply due to having to defend with a lead in the second half. When you are absorbing attacks for 45 minutes straight from teams throwing players forward, it makes life difficult.

Wonder who Klinnsman will pull off the bench in the 2nd half? 

I'd say Johannson should get the hook but I think Klinnsman wants to see him play and they only carried one other forward in Rubio Rubin.

If/when we develop a midfielder who is creative and can take people on 1 vs. 1 to create chances, maybe we'll take the next step towards becoming a World Cup contender.
