seems like sometimes we have these matches in the US and the stadiums are like half full and quiet
I hate to admit this because I don't like the Sounders, but Seattle has the best soccer fans. Portland gives them a run for their money sometimes.
The crowd last night was a little disappointing to me since I was expecting 50k+ to show (which they did for the Sounders on Sat). But for the 40k that did show, they were more rabid than the regular Sounders game. When we were chanting United States in unison, I got chills. Easily the best soccer crowd in the states.
Jozy has gotten so much better after playing in the Dutch league. Before joining AZ Akmarr he was never this technically polished.
Bradley is also a product of the Dutch system.
I want more American players to mature in the Dutch academies.
Agreed, but right now I would put Germany, Dutch and Spain over Italy, France and England.
beautiful goal
The Allstate ad syncs up well with the goal.
EDDIE ON HIS HOME TURF OH MY
WOW Cameron with an amazing pass, and what a first touch by Johnson!!
GOOOOOAAAALLLL
That was a damn fine touch.
He took like two steps after contact before deciding that he had been horrifically injured
We are going to Brazil™
We are going, We are going, we are going to Brazil! Sam's Army in fine form in Seattle tonight.
American Outlaws.
Does anyone know how many games are left in the hex?

Hard to stop watching this.
Clint mis-hit almost goes in... Almost an incredible strike of luck.
If that went in, I would have said, "all planned"
I <3 Ian Darke. Especially for trolling Twellman.
This team is so much fun to watch right now. Jozy not only attacking but his touch on balls allowing guys to run onto them is really imrpessive. Beasley rings one off the post.
Oh Shit.
Yay. Joe Benny sighting.
Beasley silly foul picks up a yellow card late, which rules him OUT vs Honduras next week. This is a little worrisome due to the lack of depth on the back line.
Who would have thought a year or two ago that this sentence would ever be uttered in the history of mankind?
Better now than against Mexico.
Yeah that hurts. It probably means that Fabian Johnson moves back to LB.
Hopefully that means Joe Benny gets the start, but I doubt that happens.
It's tiresome to see players suspended for a game for getting two yellow cards. I get it if the cards are in the same game, or consecutive games, but not if it's extended throughout qualifying. The frequency of yellow cards is such that it's inevitable that a player will be suspended.
It should only be for two in one game. Getting one in consecutive games should not be grounds for a suspension, given how completely arbitrary yellow card issuing is.
The team played really well as a whole, standouts: Jozy, Cameron, and overall the defense... A Team USA with a healthy and fit Donovan and Holden would be very very deep in talent compared to cycles past.
Makes you wonder if Jurgen has had a plan all along.
That was fun to watch. It's not too often the case that the team is in control for most of the game like that. I wouldn't quite call it dominant yet, but there wasn't much doubt who the better team was today.
Just curious, but where did you get your tickets from, and about what did you pay?
I gotta give a shout out to the Outlaws, who made it a tough environment for Panama. I'd like to see more games played in the Northwest, who in my opinion, have the best fans in soccer. I'll watch any game played in Seattle and Portland and I loved the chats the Outlaws organized.
I liked the hand clapping thing over their heads when the whole stadium did it. Very cool. I wish the US had more songs - all we really have is the USA chant and while nice it pales to some of the things a lot of other countries do. That said I agree 100% with the Seattle crowd (and Portland too) - more games up there.
