This team was already fighting from behind from the day this roster was built, then they lost to Europe and Torts went MacGyver with the lines.

5-0 Canada.

This is a skills tournament and they built a team that forechecks and tries to win games 2-1. Canada is playing Toews, Joe Thornton, Matt Duchene ect on their bottom six.

You can not forecheck a team to death that's built like that. They'll only win if Quick makes 50 saves like Miller did in 2010.

USA hockey is run by a bunch of melonheads. They'll leave players home because of USA hockey politics or just because they don't fit the US style which never wins.

Imagine this team with Tyler Johnson, Kyle Okposo, Phil Kessel if he wasn't hurt, Paul Stastney. Cam Fowler, Kevin Shattenkirk, Justin Faulk.

That's a team that can go up against Canada. Instead you have Justin Abdelkader on your top line.

It is and it isn't. On these teams it is, but from a talent development standpoint it isn't. The drafts show that. On these rosters it is, because this has been a major imbalance in the past, but just look at the North America roster for exactly why this won't be an issue not very far from now.
