Guess Trump must not have shared our US player scouting reports with the Russian.  That's a step in the right direction.

Do your worst.

After they opened the tourney by losing to Germany I was like "that fuckin' Blashill, and an 0-fer on the power play too, what a surprise" .... but I can't exactly stand on that leg anymore the way they played the rest of their games.

They've been close to dominant, they have the youngest team at the tourney, and the US won both the World Juniors and World U18s.  Despite the World Cup results, things are looking up.

but firmly in the second group with Sweden and Russia (both of which are, unfortunately, on our side of the bracket).  Great to see Larkin performing well; hope that this is a springboard to a better 2017-18 season.

USA, Sweden, and Russia are on USA side of the bracket.  1st and 3rd place in USA group should be in one side of medal round bracket and 2nd and 4th place in USA group should be on the other side with Canada.  So Russia finishing 2nd in USA group should be in Canada half of the bracket.  Haven't seen the bracket yet so maybe you are right but it would not make sense to me.
