OT update on my niece

Well we got Madilynn's echo results. While it looked like the meds were working the pictures showed that she has gotten slightly worse. The surgery should be Wednesday to replace her current pacemaker with a biventricular pacemaker, which is support control and pace more of her heart. I'm not sure how I feel about all this...its a lot to handle! I just wanted to let everyone who had her in their thoughts and prayers know what's going on.

that the news wasn't of the positive variety.  You, your neice, and your family are in my family's thoughts & prayers.  Hang in there & keep positive.  I know it's tough sometimes, but keep the faith.

I work in a children's hospital so I see terrible things everyday. I just remeber that they are getting the best care possible and usually the outcomes are good. Our slogan is "change the outcome."  What keeps me going is knowing that I am helping them albeit indirectly. I pray for lots of people but always for all the children in my hospital and wherever. I have been praying for your niece since I saw the post Friday. God bless and GO BLUE!

As a father of a child that had to endure a similar procedure I pray that God grant you and your family hope, peace and comfort in this time of need. Be confident that you are in one of the best Pediactric Cardiology Hospitals in America (MUSC in Charleston being another, as that is where my family spent a lot of time). Your Niece is in the BEST care and I am sure the surgery, if required, will go smoothly. God Bless
