OT: UM Shout Out During WH Press Briefing (Non Political)

Submitted by MGoBlue95 on

In today's White House press briefing, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders had each reporter preface their questions to her by stating what they were thankful for.  There were several good answers, but this one stood out:

Blake Burman, Fox Business Network: "I'm thankful for my wife who is pregnant...thankful for my family, my parents...I'm thankful that they sent me to the University of Michigan and not Ohio State -- go blue."

1. When someone says "it's not about sex," it's about sex.

2. When someone says "it's not about the money," it's about the money.

3. When someone explicitly puts "non-political" in the title of an MGoBlog thread, it's going to get political.

Congrats to the OP on the trifecta: a post that says the words politics, Trump, and Fox.

EDIT: damn good answer, tho.

Well, I would have felt a little insulted to be a White House reporter being led in "things I'm thankful for" exercise at an official press conference by Sarah Huckabee Sanders like a second grader. But unbridled condescension and flabbergasting absurdity are pretty much par for the course for the White House communications team over the last year. So they are probably used to it by now.
