OT: UFC 200 & Saturday Night Drinking Thread
Picked up a 4pack of Dogfish head 90min (that way I can tell my wife it's only 4 beers) and getting ready to watch UFC 200. There's a lot of interesting matchups. I'll spare you my armchair analysis and just make my predictions.
Miesha over Nunes, but I'm staying away from it. I love betting Meisha as a dog, but I never like her value as a favorite.
I'm taking Brock over Hunt- 25% because I'm an idiot, 25% because I just can't help myself, 50% because he's so damn big. Hunt packs a punch, but he's not getting off the mat with Brock's big ass laying on him
I think Cormier will win by brutal ground and pound, but there's good value on betting Silva.
Edgar wins but I'll be cheering for Aldo.
Cain wins.
For prelims I like Pena & Hendricks. I'm taking Assuncao and I'm sure Sage is being fed a cupcake to shake back from his loss.
Who ya got??
Now available in 6-16oz. cans. Instead of just 22oz bottles. All time favorite ale, that is not an IPA.

Enjoying a Paulaner because I can. About two weeks ago, I was cleared to have the odd beer, although I was told I cannot return to my days of "where the hell am I?" drinking. My wife told me that too, come to think of it. I think I might keep that part of my enforced lifestyle too.
Otherwise, spending my birthday quietly with the kids and MGoBlog - we ordered pizza to celebrate after I got home from work (fucking storms, man) and now are watching some movies. Sadly, my wife is working so she can't help us out with the pizza and stuff.

but I am having a pilsner night. Started with a Sierra Nevada Nooner, currently enjoying a New Glarus Two Women, and maybe later a Summit Keller Pils.
Man, I tried to use that and got so confused. I didn't put much time into it, but it wasn't real user friendly in my opinion. Any tips/suggestions?

Brock-
Danny C-
Frankie-
Cain-
i can appreciate the athleticism and training, but don't like the thought of women getting punched and kicked, even if it's by other women.
switched from some red pop to white since wife just had me put some sam's 'wild caught' alaskan sockeye on the grill.
as much as i have bbq'd, i have literally never smoked anything. i would be curious to taste the recipe you have - we will have to coordinate at a tailgate, maybe this fall?
hope you are well.

Good choice of beers to take you through the fights. I'm watching the pre-lims but still undecided as to whether or not to buy the main card.
I'll take Cain, Aldo (although I'm pulling for Edgar), Cormier, Hunt (Lesnar will tire at some point and drop his hands), and Tate (plus she's easy on the eyes). Happy viewing.
Not the most exciting Saturday night but it isn't bad either...

The card looked great but then Jones got caught cheating. Aldo-Edgar fight was the fight of the night but there wasn't much competition. I didn't watch all of the undercard so maybe there was a better one?
- Silva needs to go down in weight or retire. He's older and they test for PEDS now so he's not as dominant as he once was. Plus, the sport is changing. Everyone can fight against someone with his skillset now if they are in the UFC
- Lesnar is grossly unprepared to fight at this level but the heavyweight division is so thin that he can compete. Lay on the guy and hammerfist works in the lower level circuits (I watch them on AXS) but it's boring and won't bring in PPV sales.
- Valazquez again looks like the real deal and it's a shame he was on undercard.
