Yes there's some hate but in all honesty, the Indiana-Michigan game tonight is HUGE and of more concern than any UFC matches anybody might remotely be interested in.  I don't disagree that you couldn't make a post about tonights matches, why not, for those interested, but I guess don't be too surprised of the feedback you're getting due to the nature of tonight's B-ball game.

There seem to be a handful of vehemently anti-MMA people on the board. If Michigan continues to get blown out, then the board is also going to be full of a lot of angry drunk people tonight as well.

Letting people jump weights like what they did with GSP and penn. letting spider silva wreck forest griffin a former 205 champ for no reason. Some of the moves they make for the sole purpose of making money hurt the sport. It creates a number one contender fight for mike bisping every other week.

I take it you don't watch boxing...  They jump weights every single fight.  Honestly, if a fighter wants to move up, or down, why shouldn't they be allowed?  If they can make weight and make better fights, then why not?  And as far as I know, GSP has never jumped weight.  He's always been a Welterweight.

The explanation on why Silva fought Griffin is right in your sentence.  Griffin was a former Light Heavyweight Champion, and Silva wants to fight the best.  I don't think anyone thought that Silva would beat Griffin that easy.

Bisping has only had 3 #1 contender fights in 17 UFC fights since '06, and not counting the TUF finale.  He lost them all.

I do think that they do make moves for money purposes, but isn't that exactly what they're trying to do?  Make money?  I don't think anyone owns a business not to make money.

I do agree with you on one thing though, they have way too many cards.  I can't keep up with the UFC anymore, which is probably why I stopped watching it so much.  4-5 years ago I watched every card.  I'm lucky to remember if there is a PPV on now.  As I've said before though, I can't really fault them if they're making money off all the cards they're putting out there.

intended to start flamewars. If you don't like a sport, don't click on the thread devoted to it. More accurately, don't click on it and insult people who do; that's not why the MGoBoard is here and I'm not about to let it turn into that.

In off topic season, whether it's UFC or whatever other sport, it's fair game to be posted as long as there's some kind of interest. Last week there was, and this week the UFC thread is fine.

Aldo, Evans, the Reem, and Maia. Pretty solid card but some the matchup of Evans and lil Nog is odd to me. They shouldn't be fighting each other I don't think, it's just going to turn into rashad trying to wrassle because when he strikes, he goes down

Strikeforce is taking over. 3-0 tonight. T-Wood with one hell of a UFC debut. He's been one to watch, and his striking is finally starting to come along. Huge comeback victory after losing to Marquardt.
