Hoke was top notch at this aspect of his job.
Is that bad again?
It's only hard to follow if you're intent on reading every tweet. That's not really how it's intended to work, though.
You really think the college athletes have Twitter accounts so they can talk to you? Maybe they just want to talk to their friends?
They can't use their cell phones for that those things are way out of date.
Can't you make your account private where others can't see it?
You said they want to talk to you.
Yes, many people who take twitter seriously want lots of followers.
No, they don't really want to be your friend or care what you have to say in return.
Being a follower of a person != being a friend. I follow Pizza Hut - I don't expect the Meat Lover's pizza to come to my birthday party. Except when it is held at Pizza Hut.
to this post but Pizza Hut is the absolute worst pizza of any chain I've tried, except maybe Papa John's. That shit is pathetically bad. And I'm not even a pizza snob, just a meat lovers guy.
Anyway, back to discussing how stupid twitter is....
Amen, I had Pizza Hut for the first time in about 8 years last month and was reminded why I never go there. Absolutely terrible. Completely disagree about Papa John's though, they're my favorite pizza chain.
I'm basing the Papa John's off one time. Could be the store I went to just sucked that night. My wife loves the Hut though so about every other time we decide to get pizza I have to suffer that shit.
This is just how I twitter:
If famous person asks question- cool to respond
If famous person mentions something interesting to me- cool to respond about the topic
If famous person mentions something and I want to go on some unrelated topic- I do not respond because I have had message board etiquette drilled into me and off topic things drive me crazy.
I know this is hard for you to believe, but the players are college kids who at the end of the day want to goof off and watch cartoons / reruns of their favorite TV shows. The "obsessive" fans who ask them about football 24/7 and see them as nothing but players annoy me.
I'll give ya that.
if Countess is going to say anything about his knee, it shouldn't be (and will not be) to the twitter handle of some dude with 11 followers. He's just annoying and clogging up player's feeds.
Wow, those 4 year olds already know how to tweet? Man, technology just keeps making this easier and easier.
This one's not even four and one of the best follows out there! @honesttoddler
(Note: Just in case there is anyone who might be concerned, yes, I do know it's not written by an actual toddler.)
I'm almost 40 and I don't think there's anything generational about Twitter. It's the best tool we have now to find out about things as they are happening. If that sort of information is important to you, you will like Twitter. For example, bacon flavored condoms are now available. Without Twitter, I wouldn't have this important information.

The majority of the people I follow are over 40 and none of them have any trouble with Twitter. I understand that people who don't use Twitter can be confused by it, but it takes almost no time to get the hang of it, especially now. When I first started using Twitter back in 2008? 2007 maybe? trying to follow a conversation was extremely difficult. Now every app you use for Twitter, or just the website, will make it extremely simple to see an entire conversation.
like bacon that much, huh?
"pig in a poke".
Hey, Brian, is there any way to add an audible laugh button?
I'm sorry, is this a joke?
Not being a dick, 100% serious. Did this not read like a line from a horrible infomercial to you? "As I was retweeting the players tweets today, seemed as though they weren't allowed or not using twitter the entire tournament, I thought wow all 11 of my followers get to see this and they're not even Michigan fans."
It's called I just created the account not that long ago.
It has nothing to do with the fact that you have 15 followers, and everything to do with the fact that you posted to ask for more followers.
Based on his profile name, I'm guessing he's only 17. Still learning the ways of the world.
Actually 4, I started early.
And if I joined the blog in 2008, would that make me 22???? Or is it bc Braylon's # in the nfl is 17???? Or is it bc it's my favorite magazine????? AHHHHH HEAD ASPLODE!!!!!
you know what: fuck you.
I think of this page as a community, and where better to find friends for twitter. you don't like it, don't read it dueschebag.
Sorry if I sound harsh but I hate killjoy dueschebag assholes...
I tried twitter out for a week or so and it does get very confusing trying to figure out those conversations. I just stopped because it really wasn't that interesting to me. /CSB
I'll just remain a fan of the re-tweet. Plus, you don't want to follow me - I'm only interesting or funny roughly 25% of the time.
Sure, gimme a follow:
You will never understand the context of that Twitter name, and it will stay like that >,>
fan of Nyan Cat, your name is Patrick, and you are the Blue Doghouse Commander. I hate it when I find out I've been wrong about something so simple!
I check my twitter about once a month. I follow some musicians, comedians and other random people I find interesting. But, I've just never had any interest in following anything sports related for some reason. Not sure why I have an Iphone, come to think of it. I check the blog while I'm at the bar, that's about all I use it for these days.
I'll have to add him to the list.
If you're this desperate for followers, just put your handle in your sig and let people find it on their own. There's a few others on here who do that too.
Hate those folks. Probably narcissistic jerks.
Thirded. Just losers that can't get friends on their own. Probably living in their parents basement.
are the people who use their real name on everything. talk about narcissistic!
Only want mgoblog followers, would that work or not?
Not sure if serious...
