But I appreciate the tone of this board and the "old timers". Have you ever tried to read RCMB? It's terrible! You can't read through one thread without it delving into dick and fart jokes or talk about who they bang.
I know sports are just a past time, but I would still like to talk about them in a community that is knowledgeable and does its homework. I have read some of your post and for the most part think they have been pretty good, but we did not create this board, and I would not have joined had I not enjoyed the angle Brian and others took toward Michigan athletics.
On a somewhat related note: A lot of the new user comments during the Ohio fallout didn't add anything to the discussion. They weren't insightful, thoughtful, funny, or interesting. And I'm quite certain that all the negs for people that have thoughtful but contradictory viewpoints come from the newer users.

I actually completely agree with this. I can't even read RCMB. There's no intelligent discussion going on, and every time someone from another school (whether UM, OSU, whatever) offers any comment they're met with variations on "fuck off, this board is for MSU fans". They actually delete threads that they think talk about Michigan recruiting too much (which is really all there is to talk about in MSU recruiting lately). I don't want to see MGo turn into that, and I think it slowly is. I get that people are excited about football and whatever, but let's try to keep it classy. MSU really isn't worth the vitriol. They're not even worth schaudenfreude. There have been more speculative threads lately that have absolutely no information in them than I can count. Like with this one, you didn't even link to the video. C'mon. I'd still be leaving this comment, but at least you'd have some evidentiary reason to start the thread other than "hey, I just saw something funny."
