If I were Izzo there would be no way that I would take that job without Lebron having a new signed contract. If that is what the hold up is, I can't blame him.
OT: Tom Izzo is Sarah Bernhardt
is more like Evita.
"Don't cry for me Sparty faithful. I kept my promise; now keep your distance."
My bet is he stays.
Einhorn is Finkle?
Finkle is Einhorn
Can you really blame him for taking his time to think about it?
So if this were a Michigan coach, you are saying that spartan faithful wouldn't be blabbering on about how horrible it is that he ia taking so long and how it is only hurting the team and how a coach with real character wouldn't string the school along on his power trip and how there are no family values in a guy who would sign a contract and then take a better job in the middle of it and how he must not care for his players if he makes one of them cry on TV.....I could go on if you'd like.
Some of the RCMB mouthbreathers might, but that's their problem, not mine.
and has been a solid member of the Mgo-community there is no reason to hammer him.
Not once did I "hammer" SpartanDan. Although I didn't realize that we can "hammer" sparty and their fans on this site whenever we want....unless we are replying to a spartan. My point was simply that all coaches at one point question whether they should make the jump to a better situation. For Tom Izzo, he asks himself that question every year when an NBA franchise calls him and to think that going to Cleveland without knowing if Lebron will be there is the "best situation" for him, I think it is ridiculous. It seems Tom is in this drama every offseason, this year he is just taking his sweet time.
Once or maybe twice, tops. But this grand game of "Pull My Finger" got pretty stale once he did it for the umpteenth time.
... that he's interested in going to the NBA someday, but it has to be the right situation. Is Cleveland the right situation if LeBron is there? Maybe. Is it if he's not? Probably not.
The speculation does get old, but that's the price of having one of the great coaches.
Is it really hard to believe he might be having a tough time with the decision? By all accounts, Izzo is a stand-up guy that has always wanted to coach in the NBA, but has a team to worry about in East Lansing.
It would be even more difficult to make the decision when Cleveland is either going to be a contender with LeBron or a stinking shithole without him.
I had the wrong Bernhardt.....
I can't blame Izzo for thinking about it. He's not trying to be a douche like Favre.
I've always thought Tom Izzo looks a lot like Timothy Dalton who played James Bond from 1987-1994.
... you've got kidding!?!
Here's one you might like, Tom as Sarah in drag as Gerard Butler, 300-style:
Or does he look like a Baldwin Brother right there?
I think my favorite part of this whole saga is the fact that there are I <3 Izzo signs all around East Lansing now
