Tomlinson, Glasgow, Swanson and Dahl fight out for the last G and the C spot
Really good depth there. My guess - Glasgow starting LG, Swanson obvious at C.
Dahl and Tomlinson are the back ups are the guard spots, and Glasgow backs up Swanson at C if he has any issues.
Local boy. Brother Rice and Eastern Michigan. Gotta build a running game because the schedule next year will be tougher.
Swanson is the unquestioNed starter and when he played was rated as a top 10 Center in the league. As for LG that is Glasgows job to lose Dahl is the 6th lineman who can play almost every poistion. Don't know why people who claim to be Lions fans should know this already. Tomlinson is depth or trade bait. Unless something magical this offseason happens and he plays like a 1st round pick. Lions need a stud LB who can cover and they also need DE who can help Ziggy. To me those are the 2 biggest needs now.
man and get!
Could they actually be moving into the upper echelon of the League? It's actually getting exciting to be a Lions fan...
This is the saddest post I've ever seen...
Maybe... Right up until your response.
Following the Lions that we do :)
I am 38 years old and I typically laugh at Lions fans when they get excitied, but the new GM is making some really good moves and building a quality roster. If you are going to say they are cursed or some crap than whatever, I won't argue with you. But if you just look at it logically, they are getting better fast.
i dont know how so many on here bash Kirk Cousins but act like Stafford is a top tier qb.
Stafford is more educated, more likeable, tougher and has a much stronger arm. Cousins is a guy even his own team doesn't want.
past 2 season kirk has more yards tds and higher qb rating. again, stop acting like stafford is top tier, he is the same level as kirk
He had to deal with Lombardi for half the season last year and then he had to deal with offense without a running game and without Megatron this past season.
Stafford is a better player than Cousins. I think most people would say that.
about TJ Lang get you to bring up a Stafford / Cousins comparison? Not a Lions fan, but I don't think I have seen any posts saying how great Matthew Stafford is.
He was a main reason why a relatively untalented Lions team made the playoffs.
Bob Quinn doing an excellent job. We also signed Daren Fells who was like the third best run blocking TE in the league. Lotta beef.
KD Lang to Lions?
constant craving. It was a natural fit.
I think he meant Clubber Lang.
Lang(horne) Slim? If anyone on the board has heard of this guy, they will get my sincerest upvote?
They play him a lot in Nashville. Not a fan
I've ssen him live a couple of times now. Fantastic artist!

WR and defense
Agree on the WR. Won't be popular. But they need someone who can stretch the field.
They will almost for sure be drafting a running back. They have been linked to Mixon and Peterson, but I'm betting thats a smokescreen. One way or another, they clearly are after somebody.
a top RB falls to them. I can't see them drafting one. They have serious needs at linebacker and the DL, they can be op at rb if they can stay healthy.
They are drafting one. Book it. Going to be defense plus slot WR and RB.
I knew Abdullah was going to be a bad pick. He was hurt a bunch at Nebraska and had fumbling problems and same thing on Sundays. A RB would help a bunch next year.

In all seriousness I think they need LBs pretty badly. Coverage was bad last year and now Rodgers has two new pass catching TEs to worry about. No Levy leaves us with a thin roster of LBs who can play at all, let alone cover.
We've needed LBs for about 3 years.
Bout time they put some real effort into building and offensive line.
This is a big get. It not only greatly increases the quality of our line but does something similar in the opposite direction for a divisional foe. I like it!
We knew if he got to FA he was most likely not coming back,r eally we knew he wouldn't come back after the injury. It hard to pay someone big moeny without seeing them eprform post injury. Packer MGMT has a back up plan.
We are Brother Rice
But I'm happy to see a local guy make good (SB with the pack, big contract with the Lions).
Is this our first Huron since Charlie Batch?
2 seasons ago was an EMU grad.
Is his knee okay?
Packer fan here in enemy territiory. Really good line man you're getting, however who know's what type of player he'll be coming back from injruy. I hope he still a beast, great guy! Good sign....
who never left. he'll play his giant tail off here
I never thought I'd see the day the Lions got a competent GM. Quinn has made his mark early. Can't wait to see what the draft looks like.
This is awesome. Our OL is seriously legit for the first time in my life.
who's had two serious foot injuries since 2015, plus has a hip problem serious enough to require surgery.
It's a 3 year deal. I'm not going to lose my mind over this one.
He is a great locker room guy and is an all pro guard. Nobody is perfect so yes injuries is a concern.
A 40 year Lions fan here...Quinn is doing fantastic...He is building the lines
Expect he drafts a bunch again.
Good get if he's healthy.
