For the secomd year in a row I want to say Congrats to the Tigers and their fans fans here.(Sigh) Sucks for me but what are you going to do. 90% of the pro Tiger posts here during the series were classy and just fun ribbing. Only a couple were eye rollers and only one acted like a jerk. He enjoyed Jeter's injury and hoped more Yankees got hurt. Only backtracked when rational Tiger fans were like "WTF dude." Anyway, go represent the American league well. I'll be going into football only mode now.

Great win.  I walked by a couple of bars on my way home from work and people have basically resigned themselves by the 4th inning.  Tigers look really solid, and unlike in 2006 they'll know what to expect going forward.  I kind of want St. Louis to win out so that they get the same rest/rust from the wait.

Series should be interesting - Verlander, Fister, and Scherzer have been dominant this second half of the season, and if Sanchez keeps it going I can't see how St. Louis keeps it going given the mediocre pitching numbers some of their guys have sported.  And don't get me started about San Francisco, which inexplicably won that division despite, IME, not looking remotely dominant for most of the year.

Growing up in the 90's, I never thought I'd see the Tigers be in the playoffs, much less in the World Series.  Here's hoping we can come through this time

Just got home from the game, it really seemed like the game was over after the 1st inning and the HR's were just icing on the cake. A special day to be downtown, I made sure to wear my "Fergodsakes" shirt underneath my Polando jersey.

I missed the game but had a blast coaching the last game of the season. I'm a JV football coach and we put on a clinic tonight in a blowout. Good night all around.
