error by the pitcher. On a side note, does anybody else not like the new 2-3 format, with the higher seed starting on the road? Not sure what was wrong with the old 2-2-1 format, and I don't see why the lower seed should get to start at home.

Delmon Young is now zip for three in base stealing attempts this year. Still, 2-1 Tigers.
Verlander has thrown 78 pitches through 4 innings, per the broadcast team. He just gave up what is only the third hit to the A's though, so it hasn't been a bad performance at all.
As for base stealing, surely if you employ Willie Stargell's stragey and slide ten feet short, get up quickly and signal time out, you shall be successful here.

Good win by the Tigers. If Fister is solid, we should win again today (hooray for stupid 2-3 format!!!).
On a side note, anybody see that Francona was hired by the Indians? I am incredibly surprised that he went there. Could have waited for a better job to open up IMO.
