Fister vs. Miilone. First pitch at 12:07. Would be a really big win for the Tigers to start the playoffs 2-0 and only need to take 1 of 3 out in Oakland.
Bless You Boys has a good preview up.

This years 2- 3 ALDS format may benefit us big time.
I'm not a believer in the idea that this format favors the underdog. I liked it better when we were going to New York and getting a split, thus putting the pressure on the Yankees. Did that twice. Now the pressure's on us not to split.
My brother and I decided 2 hours ago to go to the game. We live in Grand Rapids. Hoping to make the bottom of the first.
Make it?
Walked in during the top of the 2nd. Probably worth the $20 tix.
is this game not on any of the "regular" channels? According to my TV its only on the mlb network, which I don't get.
Same. Wtf MLB?
Same issue.
All I've found so far is a radio stream.
If anyone finds a video stream, they should post.
Here's the radio stream: http://player.streamtheworld.com/liveplayer.php?callsign=WTKAAM
It's way behind though...
There is nothing on firstrowsports. Does anyone have a stream?
I have MLB Network, but if George Walden is calling this game, somewhere, anywhere, I want a link.
like I understand the NFL doing this for their Thursday/Saturday games, but wtf? We're talkin about the playoffs!
WTF camera angle on last out in top of 1st? Talk about missing the play and then running to a commercial.
Fister looked tough though 1-2-3
Thank you very much
Thanks, love ya.
1. Putting the game on mLB Network is a joke.
2. MLB Network having technical difficulties and not even broadcasting the 1st inning is an even bigger joke.
Way to fuck up MLB.
There were no problems with mine. MLB network actually does a really good job. You need to stop your bitching.
Well they just showed the guys in the booth for me, apologizing because they weren't getting the feed.
They joined in on the Fielder AB.
I'll bitch when its called for, which it was.
Pay the extra $10 for the sports pack. It isn't that hard to get the MLB network.
Looks like Fister is on his way to another one of his K-splosions.
Bases loaded, but sadly, nothing comes of it. Still I like to see us getting to their starter early.
Avisail with the rifle!
MLB network? I would like to watch it..
In NFL news, Stevie Brown (yes THAT Stevie Brown) has an INT and a FR for the Giants against the Browns.
is doing quite well as an understudy-makes-good story in NY. He made an interception on almost his first play going in for the injured starter a couple weeks ago, and today's plays were both game-changers. (I was in the midst of New Yorkers where I got to see a couple minutes of the Tigers game before they switched over to football. But I got my revenge by knowing more about Stevie Brown than they did.)
TIGERS SCORE TWO OFF OF A BLOOP (AND AN ERROR FROM COCO CRISP) FROM MIGUEL 3-2 TIGERS.
up for Crisp hitting a ridiculous and improbably homer off Verlander
That is why you don't basket-catch the ball. 3-2 Tigers!
Not sure he could've reached it otherwise. Would've at least been an awkward reach.
That's the benefit of having a guy like Cabrera. Crisp was playing in Canada; anyone else and he probably could've reached it easily.
A 2 out, 2 run outfield error is nearly Bucknerian.
will be lack of scoring late in the season just like the Red Wings. This team has been getting magnificent pitching for the last two weeks, they really need to start hitting. These gifted runs by the opposition won't last in the post-season.
and with that thought, Austin Jackson starts a two out rally in the 7th with a basehit followed by an Infante hit. Cabrera reaches on an error scoring two runs.
Tigers 3, A's 2 into the 8th, guess we can expect Benoit and long flyball to the base of the wall this inning.
Good job holding runners on base guys.
Benoit has been a dumpster fire in the second half.
Well on the bright side that would have scored the run from first too
Son of a dick.
Benoit gets beat by the long ball. Again. Story of his season.
nuff said
Eff me...
So I am kinda tired of our Bullpen. Coke and Benoit seem to get beat by the long ball, and Valverde is just so stressful to watch.
that first run was on laird.
who knows what would have happened if it was just a wild pitch
with only TWO pitches is UNACCEPTABLE
Most relievers have only 2 solid pitches, with maybe a third or fourth they can get away with every once in a blue moon. If they have 3 or more, they're probably going to be more valuable as a starter.
then one of those pitches needs to be a breaking ball
Delmon starts out the 8th inning with a single. Rally time Tigers!
Nice bunt by The Neck. Cmon Q, time to become a hero!
TYING RUN SCORES ON A WILD PITCH!
A's trying to give us this one!!!
That was not a strike
Bad call on that third strike on Avila, but the game's even now at least
didnt look like a strike...but got lucky with the pass ball
To close take with 2 strikes there. Grande needs to shut them down.
Ugh, I don't want to know who's coming out to pitch the 9th for us. Assuming it'll be Coke, but he's not been good this year.
Here comes the Phil Coke heart attack
Holy. Crap.

This game is going to be the end of me.
Wow, attaboy AlAl! I'm about to have a heart attack here.
Way to go AlAl!!!
Got out of the inning! Walk off time!
It's bullshit that this game is on MLB network, but I will say that these announcers are way better than Joe Buck.
Omar Infante is on first with one out and Miggy up
"There is no one sitting in Comerica park *sees people sitting right behind home plate* except for those people behind first base, but they have great seats".
Good save...good save.
Miggy singles! Runners at the corners with one out for Prince!
Intentionally walking Prince now to load the bases.
Right move with the IBB to Prince. What will Donny Ballgame do?
What a game
TIGERS WIN OFF THE WALK OF SAC FLY!
TIGERS WIN!!!!!!
TIGERS WIN
YEAH DON KELLY!
Woot!!! Just win one more and we are off to the ALCS!
You, sir, are the definition of a fair weather fan.
figuring this game out on the CBS tracker. All my whole freaking life tuning in to the playoffs on radio as I knocked around the house has been one of my great pleasures. Curse the stupid MLB!
And P.S. yay Tiges!
a stream was posted above in the first inning...
the eighth inning.
Weird. Worked well for me. I actually paid 5 bucks for the MLB online stream before I saw that post though and wound up watching vipbox because the lack of replays on mlb was annoying.
Donny MF Kelly!
The Walkoff Wizard!
Tigers win, series 2-0
Either you or the ESPN scoreboard is leaving out a crucial comma.
Don Kelly scored the tying run and knocked in the winning run. Goes to show you never can tell.
How about the young fella Avisail Garcia? Out there in the outfield playing laser tag in the middle of a playoff game. Say hello to your Tiger opening day RF in 2013
Hopefully not.
Why the heck not? How can you argue with .319 in his pre-rookie year, and defensive chops like that? Who you holding out for, Jason Heyward?
Because I actually follow the Tigers minor leaguers, and am well aware that unless he takes huge strides forward during the offseason, that Garcia isn't ready to hold down a regular starting spot in the big leagues.
Well, who would you like? Garcia certainly did not look unready this past month and a half. There isn't anyone else close to the bigs. We're not signing anyone; a lot of players have raises due and pretty much every dollar of salary savings we get this winter is going to guys who are making peanuts right now and will get those well-deserved raises. Garcia has already been better than Boesch and comes cheap. You put Dirks in left and Garcia in right and you get a cheaper outfield that hits more consistently and plays better defense. How do you go wrong with that? And in "actually following" the minor leaguers, what do you see in Garcia's .312 BA and .810 OPS at Erie that makes you proclaim he's not ready?
We could have a really good line up next year is Garcia ends up to be the real deal and Martinez gets back to 100%.
The line up could be
That would be scary good. I'm curious to see if we end up keeping Delmon around after this season.
You forgot Josh Hamilton...
It'd be glorious. Having a 3-6 of Cabby, Fielder, Hamilton and Martinez. Oh the things our offense could do.
Obviously that'll never happen, but I'd go from six to midnight in a hurry if it did, and probably stay that way all summer.
Nope, Peralta needs to go. No range and his bat was ice cold this year.
Get Elvis Andrus then we'll talk.
