1st-Hunter hit his 300th HR a 2 run shot that gave Detroit a 2-0 lead
4th-Jackson hit a 2 homer, welcome back Jackson
Fister is dealing
Twins SP Walters is donating 1k to prostate cancer for every strike out he gets (4 through 5)
Nothing to see here
Just so people know, only one person has been on base for the twins today, it was a walk. Edit: never mind home run for the twins
IT'S YOUR FAULT!!!!
Nope what I said is allowed. Mario Impemba pretty much said exactly what I said.
What will be will be. I don't believe in luck good or bad.
/knock on wood
30 seconds after your post that happens. THANKS!!!
That didn't take long. Nice job OP.
I didn't mention anything about a no hitter, i made the thread in the 4th HR happened in the 6th
For general reference, here are the some of the Tigers team stats and their ranking in the MLB (in parentheses) as of this morning per StatSheet:
|.278 (1)||655 (3)||331 (5)||68 (16)||322 (4)|
|3.52 (6)||248 (26)||1.18 (2)||175 (26)||634 (1)|
|1,788 (23)||556 (26)||28 (27)||6 (7)||98.8% (4)|
Through seven, it's still a very good stat line for FIster - 5 Ks, 1 BB and a one-hitter even if the one hit was a home run. As a team, the Tigers are 9-27 at the plate today as we go into the 8th inning.
How can we be 6th in ERA... and 26th in runs allowed? Is our ERA calculated for our starters only, or does 26th in runs mean that we've given up the 26th MOST amount of runs?
Since this is the second no hitter we have taken into the late innings against the twins this year, Does anyone think we will see the Twins get no hit at all during this year?
scratch head and rub chin, looking perplexed.
Say you want to inform someone about a possible no-hitter and give them the opportunity to watch if you know they otherwise might miss it. I usually wait until the 7th and then text something like "Hey, you might want to check out the Tigers game right now."
I usually say put the tigers on its getting interesting
Just tell them so and so has a no-hitter/perfect game and tell him the inning.
now 5-2, top of the 9th runners still on 2nd and 3rd with 2 down. Miggy at the plate...
Sparing us the aggravation of Valverde.
Instead, Benoit in to close this one out.
1-2-3 9th...final score, Detroit 5, Minnesota 2.
No "Win! Twins!" today.
DVR'd the game but really cool to see Hunter got to 300!
