OT: Tigers vs Twins 05-16-12
Twins take advantage of 3 Tiger errors in the first 2 innings to lead 5-1. Prince dropped a routine throw to first in the first, (shit happens), and Raburn misplayed a routine bouncer to second.
I can't say Porcello is pitching good, but the D has been far worse than his pitching thus far.
Prince's drop was a ball he would catch 999/1000 and then a meaningless throwing error by Santiago on a throw to the plate.
Blackburn just getting shelled right now. All tied up again.
he promptly throws it away... and then tosses a cooler full of bubblegum around the dugout.
I guess this will probably be Porcello's last inning. 80 pitches in 3 innings is ridiculous. Too many pitche up for my taste
Is it just me or is there an abnormally high number of seagulls at Comerica Park tonight? Was tonight the tribute to Anton Chekhov?
With that said, Austin Jackson walks off the field in obvious pain - I hope it is nothing serious. Seems like it happened in mid-swing, as he was grimacing towards the end of it.
Apparently, it's a mild abdominal strain, so Jackson will be day-to-day. Something of a relief.
With that, Below throws a fantastic fastball that was sadly in Carroll's wheelhouse. 8-7 Twins.
Luke Putkonen warming up.
we got rid of Inge?
Or did he just change his name to Raburn?
He is just brutal with a glove no matter where you put him.
And last i looked he was hitting like .160 with no power.
Tigers are going to need double digits to win this one
Probably no Valverde this evening
care too much about Inge one way or the other, the Tigers sure have a lot of his clones on the team.
Raburn...Santiago...Worth...Kelly...Laird...
None of them are very damn good at anything.
I notice too that Raburn is starting to get booed A LOT no matter what he does.
Tribe Time.
the worst team is baseball is chewing up the Tigers pitching.
Between that and 4 errors already...hard to beat anyone.
Jimmy Smokes will finish the year out no matter what. Accept that fact now. If any kind of managing move is made it is during the offseason.
