OT: Tigers vs. Angels

Submitted by MGoBlue96 on
One of the best pitching match-ups of the season in this game. Verlander versus Weaver. Magglio just hit a 2 run homer to put the Tigers up 2-0 and Verlander looks really sharp today.

Derp rescinded. Its a good rule to just repeat whatever Mario and Rod say. In instance should the word "no" be placed within 4 words to the word "hit" or "hitter"

However he didn't actually say it. By reading the signs he posted you say it in your head, so isn't that kinda like saying it? To some people those voices inside your head are real, just saying.

close. Edit: Off topic, but I just saw that some source is reporting Wandy Rodriguez of the Astros to Cleveland for a couple of prospects. This makes me sigficantly more nervous as a Tigers fan if true, both those guys together give them a big boost to their staff.

Why did you JINX it

Also, heard that Justice rumor too. Indians dealing a lot of fine prospects, and getting some decent players in return. If they get Ubaldo and Wandy Rodriguez, that's terrifying

Rodriguez to Cleveland is not happening now. On a side note Carlos Guillen just jacked one out. Weaver and the Tigers are really barking at each other. He just got thrown out of the game, smooth move throwing at somebody's head. Didn't like the way Guillen posed, but come on Weaver don't throw up near a dude's head, that is completely classless. Think this all started with Weaver barking at Ordonez after his HR, which IMO was unwarranted.

Apparently streaming ESPN radio will switch to the Tigers game if they get bored talking about Plaxico Burress or if there's something more interesting going on.

There was no need for carlos to admire that home run. The angels are already being humilated by verlander. He doesnt need to rub it in. As Rod said, he aimmed at the head but he knew he wasnt going to hit him. It was just to send a message.

Well as much as you can't throw at someone's head, if I'm Alex Avila I am going back and and kicking Guillen's ass.  Act like you've hit a home run before and don't put your teammates in danger.

that this all started when Weaver was barking at Ordonez after his HR. I didn't like Guillen's pose at all, but Weaver is basically the one who started the dialog by barking at Ordonez earlier and than finishes by coming up near a guy's head.

You pussy. Avila wasnt in danger. Weaver is a big league pitcher and just threw in the area, intent wasnt to make contact with Avila's head.

And like other posters said, Guillen did that after Weaver called Ordonez a motherfucker.

his intent was, you don't throw it near a guy's head, period end of story. You're an idiot if you don't understand that. Even big league pitchers don't have impeccable control, regardless of his intent if he misses his spot by a 6 inches or so, you risk hitting the guy in head. Go tell Avila he wasn't in danger, when he had a ball come that close to his head. I guarantee he would give you a different response and you must have missed the part where I said Weaver started the hostility between the teams.
