OT: Tigers Going for Sweep of A's
Sanchez pitched a great game. He kept the Tigers in it and gave the team a chance to steal this game. A couple clutch hits and the A's are finished.
This is the inning to make a move. Need good at bats to get Cabrera up with runners on.

Terrible, terrible AB's, this is getting outright ugly.

that I am offended by the gall of the Oakland players to show any emotion at all in this game. Save it for the dugout.
Some of these swings are ugly.Come on.Get a base runner or 2 so I can justify staying up late.

Oh hey, the human white flag, Phil Coke.
Yeah you point at those fly balls.

Phil Coke and his pointing to the ball everytime its in the air is so ridiculous.
"Are you an official here?Because you've officially given me a boner."
While it doesn't help the fielders behind him make a play on the ball, it generally does let the viewer at home know that it's an out. So there's that. Why is Avila not playing? Is he hurt? Does Laird always catch Sanchez?
Except for the other thing. That hurts the most. But the lack of respect hurts the second most.
I think its called he had a home run in game 1 so ill sit him.Thats Jim Leyland sometimes.
"Are you an official here?Because you've officially given me a boner."
Leyland has had lineups for lefty and righty pitchers down the stretch, against a lefty you're going to get Garcia/Laird and against a righty he goes with Berry/Avila, expect Alex to get a pinch hit opportunity if the chance arises.

Phil coke might be a bad pitcher but he's at least he is easy on the eyes.

Well this certainly is the part of the lineup you'd like to have at the plate in the 9th. Let's pray for some magic and a Tigers win.

They should call a technical foul on Ed Balfour. The dude is out of control.

Something tells me this is a different series now.Oakland plays good with its back against the wall.Go Tigers.

come on Max. We need ya in game 4....
but oh wait, it appears it may not matter if our SP throws a gem because our offense CAN'T GET ANY 'GD' RANS.
DAMN IT.
We're not teaching them about sports, we're teaching them about life!
Tigers need to set the tone early tomorrow. No 6-pitch first inning mess like tonight. Score runs in the 1st to shut that crowd up.

My wife and I were at the game tonight. Not sure how the game came across on TV, but in the ballpark, it really felt like the whole thing turned on two A's defensive plays: Crisp's HR-stealing catch off Fielder, and then Cespedes' taking away a sure double from Fielder a few innings later. That's at least one run and maybe two, and they were easily the best-hit balls of the night for our boys.
It sucked. I won't go to game 4 or 5 to try to improve our chances.
Moeller v. Excalibur Restaurant -- Fight!
a big deal of Cespedes' catch, but it looked fairly routine to me. At least for a major league left fielder. Our guys need to put together alot more quality at bats tomorrow.

Good outing for Sanchez, outside of the first and that pitch over the middle that went deep.
