Magglio is also out for the year...ankle injury...lots of bad luck for tigers

I had a feeling on Friday when they said that Delmon would not be on the ALCS roster that one of our other OF's would come up lame.
By leaving Delmon off the roster to begin with, they made it possible for him to take a day or two off to let an iffy injury heal, and should one of the other OF's get hurt during the LCS, Delmon could be added to the roster.

Delmon won't come back this series. Leyland is pretty conservative about such things and Delmon was out for a while early in the year with the same injury. This is really really bad news for the tigers. They were the worst running producing team in the 1st round of the playoffs. Delmon was the best everyday hitter (behind part timers Ordonez, Raburn, Kelly, Ingle -- isn't that scary!). Bad bad bad.

You should probably take a break from doom and gloom regarding the Tigers. You seem to be decent at it.

I watched every game in their 100 loss years. I know this is a good team. Leyland is conservative and those injuries do take time to heal. Hardly doom in gloom. I am happy Delmon is available and am glad that your illogical prediction which seemed to be predicated on us either expecting an unlikely injury in the playoff or Leyland having a player fake an injury to get Delmon back up.

This is all part of the giant conspiracy to make Detroit fans have to choose which game to watch. First, during the Michigan and Red Wings games, and now they postpone today's game to coincide with the Lions and MNF? I'm going to go make a thread and complain about this...

the baseball game should end before the lions game

In the article, ESPN says that the next game will be Monday at 4:19pm, but on the scorechecker at the top, ESPN says Tuesday at 8:05pm. I'm assuming the scorechecker is wrong, but either way, the game should be long over before MNF starts.

My guess is that Spartan Bob or the NU clock guy is in charge of those times. They just like to mess things up on clocks.
