He would have to actually get hits and being the 3rd in the line up day in and day out has really started to piss me off....wtf leyland .....I love mags but he needs to be the 8th or 9th batter i dont think we should trade him....he needs to retire a Tiger....This Year!!

I do realize this...hence the 1 down

Don't get me wrong, Rafalski had a nice career and I've heard he's a great guy which most hockey players are. It doesn't mean I have to be a fan of him just because he's a Red Wing. I wanted him to do well, he was just extremely soft which I'm not a fan of.

Mags career has been done for years...But for some reason DD loves handing him free money.

I can pick whoeva I want for my unhealthy hatreds...

Magglio's lack of production should earn him NO ire from Tiger fans. He's not dogging it, he's not playing below himself, he's just old.

His signing back in 2005 has paid a lot of dividends for this organization and I will remember him fondly.

Because it's a short-term commitment for a talented player and we currently have a corner outfielder with 11 XBH who our idiot manager refuses to not only bench, but move out of the 3-hole. This is DD's way of telling Leyland how to do his job.

It is completely understandable why Detroit would want him. The question is why Minnesota didn't, but it's come to my attention that he was in the last year of his deal.

You should be sentenced to listen to Leyland's pre-game show. The man is very knowledable and canny in his observations, listening to Leyland might disabuse you of your silly childish rants.

I'll take it. We gave up next to nothing, and, as long as Boesch's thumb doesn't turn into something more serious, improves our outfield overall.

I've liked the moves DD has made so far this year. We've improved our overall production at 3B, improved the overall effectiveness of our rotation, added depth to our bullpen and now our outfield too, and what have we given up in return? Not a whole lot. Nothing super glitzy or glamorous, but I'd say that our team is more solid now than it was at the beginning of the year.

Side note: it's little punks like bing24 who really make me wish that negs work. Unbelievably moronic. To all you other teenagers (and some select adults) on the board, just remember: don't be an ass, show some class.

Boesch didn't look too bad in his pinch hit at bat, so I don't think he's going on the slc. I think he will take the third slot from Mags, and I love it. Finally a guy that can get some production from a guy playing with the luxury of hitting before the best player in the AL, Cabrera. This should have happened way earlier, or at least move the guy down in the lineup.

Not giving up a lot I guess you may as well take a flyer on the talent, but he's brutal in the field even by the low standards of major league left fielders and his plate discipline sucks.  He's had one decent year in his career, and reverted back to being a replacement-level or worse guy again this year.

Like several people, I was not a fan of the bat-throwing incident. Completely moronic thing to do.

Now that he's here, I think he could be a contributor in the outfield and at the plate. He is, after all, hitting  .313 since coming off the DL in June. We could use a .300-plus hitter in the 3-spot.

You play well we love you, you stink, well you know the rest. Magglio is terrible this season hitting and fielding. His reps should of been cut weeeeeks ago and never should have been the #3 hitter in this lineup.
