OT-Tiger Woods named athlete of the decade

The AP has name Tiger the athlete of the decade. I pretty much agree with their choice, considering that if you can stop looking at the sex scandal, he has been an absolute beast on the golf course. Does anyone in MgoBlog land have any differing opinions?

but man... Tennis is a tougher sport..
It is so tough that by age 27-29.. you're basically old and on the tail end of your career. Hell, in the top 40, the only two guys that have children are Federer and Hewitt.

This is true, and again you can't go wrong with either IME. I guess the more I think about it, the longevity that Fed has had over the years and the fact that he has sustained his health and fitness through his run is what is most amazing about him, given the numerous injuries that are sustained by tennis players.

but perhaps the voters thought that a decade was too small of a space for Zoltan to be considered
