I've been through a divorce and this is actually a really good thing for Tiger. It should bring closure.

Old joke: Why does it cost so much to get divorced? Because it is worth every penny! (Applies to either party).

There are generally clauses in prenups that address things like cheating. In other words it is quite likely that the prenup is void or at least gives the wife a very large payout in the event the divorce is due to the mans cheating.

I guess what I am saying is just because you have a prenup doesn't mean you are going to get away with all your money after the divorce. They don't generally read "I will marry you on the grounds that if we get a divorce for any reason I can keep every penny I have."  A prenup is a contract and they generally aren't as simple as that. Who would marry someone on those grounds?

is elin a loser in all of this??? shes getting a TON of cash and probably child support on top of it... the kids will suffer, but they are young enough that it shouldn't affect them mentally... and if tigers sponsers wanted to bail on him they would have done so already...

You obviously aren't married nor ever really cared about another person. Have you ever lost someone you cared about (I am assuming you are older than a teenager in spite of the contents of your post)? Do you think a person laughs all the way to the bank when a loved one dies and they go to collect what was left to them? Divorce isn't a whole lot different to someone who really loves their spouse.

This is the second time I have heard a comment like this on this blog. The first time I saw it I said it was the dumbest post I had ever read and you have just matched it.

For your sake I hope you never have to find out first hand how a spouse who gets paid out after a divorce is still a loser.

Wait a minute, she's a loser in this?  Isn't she going to receive a rather, hefty sum, out of all of this?  Yes, yes, more important things than money, but I'm sure she'll enjoy swimming in her Bentley convertible of beluga caviar.

So this means Tiger can get back to bangin' babes and winning trophies with a clear conscience? Nice.

May he never get married agian. Dude was clearly not built for it.

Feel bad for the kids, but it's probably better they're divorced than tenuously married.

.  I'm sure Elin was devastated, demoralized and ran  through the media ringer,  but  $750M is an enormous settlement.  My advice to Tiger is get to the range and start winning some majors.

buddy of mine was out in vegas and was telling me she was in vegas with some dudes, said the people around her  made it impossible for anyone to get a clear pic.  He is no tiger fan at all, he thought tiger was getting screwed bigtime the way she was acting at the bar.  While she was supposedly mourning the whole thing with tiger she was out in vegas....

now I do not know that to be 100% fact, but I grew up with the guy and he isn't one to lie about something just to lie.   He was pretty hard on elin from that point forward and had no remorse stating every thing from her was just an act for the cameras....

....putt for dough.  Tiger could always rely on his putter to bail him out until this year.  It is his failure to sink anything that has sunk his chances this year.

Now that his divorce is final, he can stop acting like someone he isn't and go back to being himself.  His life hasn't really been his own since November; this will soon change.  I think we might see a great year from him in 2011.  I hope he gets left off the Ryder Cup team and comes back with something to prove.
