OT: Ticket Help.

Submitted by ryanfourmayor on
I bought 2 pairs of tickets off craiglist. One pair for the central game and one pair for the Minnesota game. Same seats for both.

Went to the game and got in just fine. Got home and noticed my central tickets are still on my fridge. Wtf I used my Minnesota tickets for today's game on accident.

Can anyone confirm that the barcodes are the same for each game for the same seat or did I get lucky somehow?

It can't hurt to give the ticket office a call. If you still have the stubs, it shouldn't be that hard to rectify. At any rate, I'm sure they'd be interested to know their equipment is possibly malfunctioning.

Wow...opening of avenues.

Back in the pre-electronic age I did something similar with some friends.  Back when tickets were non-electronic and color coded per game, we saved tickets from low interest games and re-used them the next year.

Old-timers will recall that tickets had stubs which had colored ends corresponding to the visiting team's colors. A home game vs Wash St had grey stubs.  There were many unused tickets that game and as middle schoolers my friends and I ended up with give-aways.  That year or the one just before or after Slippery Rock played at the Big House and the stubs were green.  We saved some unused tix from that game as well.

We used the unused tix the following year to get into the MSU game and the OSU game.  Tickets had the same color scheme and ticket takers didn't bother to read the team name on the tickets.

Good fun, good memories.
