OT: Thursday Night Drinking Thread

Submitted by csmhowitzer on

Wanted to create my first thread, tonight. First I just want to say how great the board is and it's fun coming on here everyday and sharing the Michigan love.

Tonight is my 7th day--out of a total 11 days--for my current vacation. I'm up north in Bellaire. Just got back from Short's brewery, and I picked up a growler of some nice seasonal beer. It's the "Black Cherry Porter" a very nice stout. It has a tart flavor but a very smooth and roasted finish.

The other drinks on tonight's menu are:

  1. Irish car bombs. I have some guiness, bailey's and some crappy whiskey.
  2. Jager Bombs. More of a young man's bomb, thankfully I'm still a young man.
  3. Vodka + Redbull. Read #2
  4. A dirty 30 of Busch Light..... would've picked up PBR (same price) but the store was out.
  5. Smirnoff Lemon. Not sure what to do with this, but we have some... so who knows.

Hope everyone on the MGoBoard has a good night, and here's to Iman Marshall and a 2017 Heisman Trophy (If we get him)!

Same as last time, I was pleased with it and I still am, surprisingly. Bean Flicker, Atwaters Vanilla Java Porter, and Brutal Extra Viejo (with either Vernor's or hot spiced cider.)

Crowds everywhere for both the Phoenix Open and the Super Bowl. Traffic backed up for miles, even in my out-of-the-way neighborhood tucked in the mountains. Time for Everclear.

I probably shouldn't go too far into drinking as I do have to face a lot of Continuous Improvement meeting type stuff tomorrow, but then it is things like that which occasionally inspire drinking. To that end, I have a pint of Boddington's sitting here as I casually listen to basketball. It definitely made be less grumbly when I went outside a bit earlier to scrape about an inch of wet snow off the driveway.

Victory Hop Ranch and Alesmith Speedway Stout...had to buy the latter in Ohio.

AleSmith - Come to Michigan so I don't have to spend beer money in Ohio!

I hadn't really planned on anything, but now that I think about it, I think I'll pour me some Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey to celebrate a good day in B1G basketball.  Two real Big Ten teams beat the fake ones by a combined 44 points.  That the winners reside in Columbus and East Lansing makes no difference to me.

This is odd, on the iPad app my reply is to the user "get-Jim-Harbaugh" but on the web site his post doesn't appear. So my insult does appear misplaced. Sorry. Very strange, wonder if anyone else can see that. Anyhow, he's the former "voltron is handsome " and he negs everything.

Some absolutely wonderful apple pie moonshine, sent to me from a great friend for winning our fantasy football league. Shit is the real deal made in a still somewhere in Boone, NC. I don't understand how something so strong can go down so smooth. 3 decent sips and I feel like I have had 6 beers
