OT: A thought I'd like to share and a personal apology
I'd like to take this moment to issue an apology about our men's hockey team. I have said some pretty nasty and un fan like statements at both the team and coach Berenson. We're damn lucky to have Red as our coach. He's lead us to GLI titles CCHA Regular Season titles CCHA tournament titles NCAA appearances and of course two NCAA division one championships. This team has really come together as a family and they are believing in themselves and seem to have finally figured out their chemistry together on the ice. What I saw in the replay of the Saturday night was unreal and amazing. This team has really proven themselves to be a strong force next year right now. Let's continue this and win the CCHA. I'm damn proud to be an M hockey fan right now!

Michigan to head to Kalamazoo for Quarters
State holds on to win game three 4-3 despite Alaska scoring twice in the final minutes. With reseeding, Michigan now heads to Lawson Arena to battle #3 seed WMU with a 24th consecutive trip to the Joe in the CCHA playoffs on the line. It looks like tickets are still available. Friday's game is 6:30 with Saturday and Sunday (if necessary) at 7:05. Let's get as many Michigan fans there to try to counter the Lawson Lunatics. Go Blue!

Anything is possible with Michigan Hockey. Why anyone would give up on them is beyond me.
What bothers me is that you said you are proud to be a fan now. Why weren't you back when they needed you the most?

You're back on the bandwagon again? What a relief.
Red has taken this program to 21 straight NCAA tournament appearances, 11 Frozen Four appearances, and 2 National Championships. You'd think that kind of record would've earned him some leeway when the inevitable stumble came along, but alas, shirttail fans are oh so predictable.
I wonder, will Red and the team still have your "passionate" support should they not defeat the odds and fall short of the CCHA tourney title and wind up staying home for the first time in two decades, or will you fall back to form and start calling for Red's job again?

...there man, its hard not to get mad at our favorite teams from season to season when the expectations are always so high...I am proud of every Michigan team regardless of the outcome, its ok to be disappointed, but Berenson has proven himself as a championship coach and Michigan will bounce back next year!
