OT - Thomas Tyner

I know at one point there was at least some interest with this kid who was trying to decide between track and football, but 644yds and 10tds in one game is pretty impressive, not sure the talent levels, but still good.

Yeah. Im going to assume, the competition level SUCKS! How does a team score 63 points and lose by 3 TDs? Were they playing Highschool Arena football??

Maybe there's a rule on the West coast that teams can only practice offense.  That would explain a lot of the Pac-10 and Big-12 issues.

high school football in Oregon.  While the team I coach for has not played against his high school team or him specifically we have played against common opponents and viewed game film while preparing for opponents.  He plays for "Aloha" pronounced (uh - low - uh, not like the Hawaiian word for hello / goodbye) which plays at the highest level in the state of Oregon.

He is the real deal, his team won the state title when he was a sophomore.  He missed last season due to an injury and they are back again this year for a title.  They do not have much of a defense this year and probably will not win it.  He also won the state title in the 100 and 200 at the state track meet as a sophomore.  He is headed to the University of Oregon next year.

Both teams play in Oregon 6A which is the highest football level in the state. Tyner was injured in the first quarter playing defense and did not play defense again for the game. As the article pointed out, this was the third highest rushing total nationally and of course he is a highly recruited ducks target. Lakeridge in Lake Oswego, an upscale Oregon community, usually does well in Oregon football but this year is off to a 1-2 start. On a side note; Lake Oswego some years ago used to be called Frog Lake. See what marketing can do?
