That movie creeps me out in so many ways, but it is a great movie.
Hmmm... now I want to watch it. I think I'll put it on my Blockbuster queue.

Keith David was great in that movie. The scene where Russell tests everyone's blood is still disgustingly awesome even compared to the modern special effects of today. Great cult movie.

Seminal science-fiction film by John Carpenter.
You see so many variations on this plot, in episodes from X-Files to the original Star Trek, it's everywhere.

But the 1951 original (with Gunsmoke's James Arness in the role of The Thing) is also pretty good, if a bit corny.

When I was a kid I slept with the hallway lights on many nights b/c of that movie.
