Watching this for the first time in a while this evening. Pretty disapointed in Keith David's character. He, along with everyone not named Kurt Russell, is being a pussy right now.
Peppers at 10, which seems low.
Light years better than all of this computerized animation BS.
That movie creeps me out in so many ways, but it is a great movie.
Hmmm... now I want to watch it. I think I'll put it on my Blockbuster queue.
Keith David was great in that movie. The scene where Russell tests everyone's blood is still disgustingly awesome even compared to the modern special effects of today. Great cult movie.
Seminal science-fiction film by John Carpenter.
You see so many variations on this plot, in episodes from X-Files to the original Star Trek, it's everywhere.
But the 1951 original (with Gunsmoke's James Arness in the role of The Thing) is also pretty good, if a bit corny.
They made a remake of it a few years ago didn't they? I'm assuming it blew?
but that scene when the guys head turns sprouts legs like a spider.... oooo.. that's good.
When I was a kid I slept with the hallway lights on many nights b/c of that movie.
