OT: Thanksgiving Day Games Open Thread

Lions are already up 7-0 on the Texans. This should be a high scoring game IMO. Later at 4:25 the Redskins play the Cowboys At 8:20 the Patriots play at the Jets. In college at 7:30 TCU plays at Texas. Happy Thanksgiving and Go Blue and Go Lions.

I wager most coaches would throw a flag immediately on an egregious call like that. The refs totally gave away that TD and the stupid-ass rule about the challenge flag just makes it worse. Plus, that ref was totally wrong...that play IS reviewable, just not by challenge flag.

It's reviewable unless the coach challenges it. How does an NFL coach not know that every TD is reviewed already? 

 

Schwarts F'ed up, you can say the refs screwed up too, thats fine. But bottom line is Schwartz is the one who caused that play not to be reviewed.

Since they should be aware of this rule, what's stopping a coach from throwing a flag when their own team scores a TD on this kind of play? If Kubiak throws that flag instead of Schwartz, does the TD still stand and the play becomes unreviewable?

Yea its Schwartz fault and he takes most of the blame with the refs, but that's a routine play that should have called dead in the first place by paid professionals.

I actually like them scoring with almost two minutes left and a couple timeouts. Execute a two minute drive to win the game hopefully not leaving to much time on the clock.

Regardless of the outcome, I think this will be the last NFL game I watch this year.  Yes, Schwartz should know the rule, full agreement from me. That doesn't make the rule any less absurd. I am sick and tired of supporting the No Fun League, I'm done.
