OT-thanks Mgoblog

Submitted by ggoodness56 on
I just wanted to say thanks to all of you. The last couple of months I have spent in the hospital trying to overcome cancer. I was in the hospital for most of December and January dealing with surgeries. This blog and the creative guys who run it have provided a lot of insight and humor (at times a distraction) that have helped the tough days of rehab go by. If you think the blog is funny you should read it on a morphine drip. I'll never forget in my darkest hours, Kirk Cousins getting destroyed by you all. From a fellow fan, thank you!

My mom lost her 10-month battle with leukemia a couple years ago; I would not wish her experience on even the most asinine of Ohio fans.  Good luck and continue to be strong.

Thoughts and prayers with you and your family.  My mom is a breast cancer survivor and her optimism was unwavering.  Stay strong, positive and don't give up.

Keep recovering. Stay strong. My Dad posted on this site all the time back before he died of cancer in 2008. His name was Bill Kuiper, but I can't remember what his username was. Any help in figuring that out, or if any of you remember that would be greatly appreciated!

Stay strong my friend! you can beat this! You'll be in my prayers

My prayers are with you and your family. There are few silver linings to cancer, but survivors I know personally have taught me:

  1. Focus on the big things that are important.
  2. Enjoy simple pleasures we take for granted. (things like mgoblog?)
  3. Don't sweat the minor irritations (Sparty? Kork Coupons?) . . . life is too short anyway.

Best of luck with the rest of your recovery.  This post forced me to become a memeber so I could comment.  This board is a place for all of us to forget the world for a bit and solely focus on moar recruits!

Is the bed next to you empty and Is this an offer to share?

Get well and if you writing a diary is too much can you at least post a picture of your beautiful wife?

Comment is useless without pics :- )

Yesterday marked 1 year that a friend of mine lost her battle with lung cancer, she was only 26.  Your post made me smile on a difficult day, so I thank you.

Nothing in life is guaranteed, you'll be in my prayers

I have had the privilege of spending time in oncology working to facilitate the recovery of some of the strongest and finest people around, and I have know doubt that you would be numbered in that group.  I am thankful for your successful struggle and hope, wish and pray for your continued good health and recuperation. Godspeed!

Best of luck to you and may you have many, many good times in the future with your son.  Trust me, you'll never feel like time is blowing right on by more than when you have a young son.  It's simply indescribable.

I did the same thing while rehabbing with my hip replacement.  There are a lot of laughs to be had here!

I always get a good laugh when someone posts something that's already been talked about.

"We landed on the moon?"

Good luck buddy!
