OT - Thanks for All the Plusses, Would Somebody Please Tell That to SBNation?

Submitted by Seth on
I wouldn't even bother the boards with this, since it really doesn't affect anyone who isn't me or someone who reads stuff written by me. But hey, I got mentioned twice this week in the main pages for the "Data-Mining HenneChart" thing, and that contrasted a lot with this: <img src=" Dammit -- I totally didn't save my screenshot"/> What you would have seen there, if I hadn't closed GiMP without saving just now, is my ban notice from SBNation. I don't know if anyone follows me on there, too. What I did to deserve this banishment was post that poll (which fanbase talks the most about officiating) to several other Big Ten fansites. Hammertime. So I guess y'all are stuck with The Original Burner of Ships Behind Him (who wasn't that original 'cause I was only copying Alexander the Great), at least until my minions descend upon Yahoo's offices and free me from my shackles. If you care to help, write them (or if you are not a lettered person, storming works too). Or better better yet, tell me how a banned guy can get his old diaries off of there -- if they don't want them, I can re-post the good stuff elsewhere.

You may have set off a throttle warning by posting the same thing on different sites. We had a problem with spam last month and the restrictions were tightened quite a bit. So if you post a bunch of things in a short amount of time you could get automatically banned.

That must be it. I wanted to launch everything simultaneously (to avoid exactly what happened) so I had them all open in tabs. It wouldn't like kill me to lose SBNation blogging -- no offense -- but I did create a lot of content I'd like to have for posterity on that account, particularly for Tigers and Red Wings. I'm e-mailing the proprietors of the blogs where I'm a regular (Bless You Boys, Winging it in Motown, Beyond the Box Score) in hopes they'll vouch for me. Is it even fixable?
