OT: Tennessee Just Offered 20 Kids at IMG
The title says it all. That is absolutely crazy. This just makes Harbaugh look more like a genius with the spring break trip. Here is the link to the short article:

They figured if it was important enough for Harbaugh to hold practices there it was worth it for them to just go ahead and offer everyone.

If every player at IMG is worthy of a Tennesee offer, then having the offer doesn't mean a lot. Conversely, if Harbaugh ever only offers a small handful, then he has created a club of exclusivity. People of excellence want to belong to exclusive clubs.

You are correct... and aside, its still a smart move by Tenn, to get a buzz with all the player there. Will be interesting to see the domino effect of offers to those 20...

It is about as smart about creating a buzz about Transformers V by releasing it the day before The Force Awakens. You couldn't have timed it worse to create a buzz with the life span of a gnat.

What you say is true, but Harbaugh has thrown offers to nearly everyone. So I'm not sure how exclusive he's been... That said, an offer from Harbaugh holds far more weight than anything UTenn can toss out right now!

Good obsevation. However, none of them are looking for a college education. Their main goal is to get to the NFL. Whether Tennessee is the best route for that, remains to be seen.

Harbaugh has offered over 240 players in the 2017 class. There is not much exclusivity going on. An "offer" right now is just a "hello" at this point.

247 shows even more than 206 - over 240 last I looked. But yes I agree with your general direction - we went to Taylor's HS in GA and offered like 9 in 1 day. Offer doesnt mean squat nowadays.

this is just typical Tennessee folk behavior. Over 80% of the marriages and offspring there are from cousin to cousin relationships. They just do what everyone else does and then do it more. I believe we call them inbred retards around the Fargo area. Ahh sure you betcha!

recruiting budget. Just offer every kid that comes through there, hope you land a good number of them and don't worry about traveling around to see other kids.

2017: 2 WRs, 1 TE, 2 OL, 2 DL, 4 LBs, 2 DBs
2018: 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 OL, 1 DL, 2 DBs
2019: 1 OL
This equals: 1 RB, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 4 OL, 3 DL, 4 LBs, 4 DBs
So they run a base 11 personnel and 3-4 defense and their QB and one OL must feel really, really badly.

La dee frickin da - the scoop is that Tennessee has offered every person living in Bradenton. That's 50k "playaz" although at least a few are expected to grayshirt and live in a van down by the river unless they pay their tuition on time.
