OT: Temple beats #10 Kansas 77-52
Uh.....okay, so this kind of got lost in the shuffle yesterday.
Did anyone else know about this game?
Temple led 35-25 at half and outscored KU 42-27 in the second half.
What a weird year so far in college basketball.

I saw the picture from the bus, but I was kind of wrapped up in thinking about something else. This week is going to go by sooooooo slow.

State sucks this year since this was supposed to be a good loss. Too bad we also suck.

When Michigan lost to NJIT, I said here that the difference between a top ten team and a bottom team isn't all that great anymore for one game. I also said I thought there would be a lot more "upsets" this season.
Basketball isn't a game where the team that pushes the other one up and down the court always wins. Putting the ball in the basket is never guaranteed to run true to form. One team can get hot and another cold. Basketball seems to be a sport that is made for upsets. That's part of why so many people love the NCAA Tournament so much.

... to ClarkiefromCanada. If I'm remembering correctly, he's a Temple alum.
Warmy,
A Villanova Alum
P.S. NJIT is beating 'Nova in the second half right now (yes, I'm trying to (reverse?) jinx them), so Michigan's loss is looking a little less flukey.

I am a Temple alum (did my doctoral work there) but I have spent much time at Villanova /Main Line. I reserve a particular hatred for Villanova but its mostly related to Jay Wright and Rollie Massamino.

This is a well conceived thread.
