OT. Take me out to the ball game
Opening Day! Porcello on the mound, Cabrera on his way to a MVP season, Willis back and dominating, Jackson already better than Grandy, Let's get it on!
AL Kaline on WJR this morning talking about his new book, sounds like a good read.
On a sad note Ernie too sick to be at the Ball Park, you will be missed Ern.
The Tigers poised to be good for the next decade, thank you Dave Dombrowski
hadn't gotten screwed out of their rightful place in Detroit this weekend, I'd be attending this Tigers game.
At least Miami got beaten like a red-headed stepchild last night.
Too bad the weather is so shitty. I feel sorry for anyone at Comerica Park today.
I would kill to be at comerica today, especially after how log jammed the MLB ticket server was when tix went on sale.
Ummmm, Granderson has 2 HRs, one of them a game winning HR. He's doing well.
home opener i went to was in 2002... my buddy called me early in the morning and said lets go to the home opener, i didn't have to work that day and i said ok... he came over to pick me up and we left... we got across the border and parked in a lot on woodward... now we brought a couple of "lefties" with us so we wouldn't have to spend alot on booze... well as soon as we sparked the first one, someone knocks on the drivers side window... the person goes into this whole thing about how were facing serious charges for what we are doing and so on... me and my buddy look at each other and we both know that we are fucked... all of sudden the guy then says "you're facing serious charges for not partying enough on opening day"... it was a fucking street vendor selling 1984 tigers painter caps... i nearly jumped through the window and killed the guy... we bought 2 of them get him to go away... just before he left he made a corny comment about realizing what we were doing so the "no partying charges" were going to be dropped... after we were done, we walked down the street to the state theater and started drinking and found out that mitch ryder was playing... all of that was the highlight of the day because the tigers sucked that day and it was so cold... it was sunny, then it rained, and then it snowed during the game... we left after the 6th inning when our buzzes were starting to wear off...
But I wouldn't say Dontrelle is "dominating." Also, it is illegal to criticize Granderson.
I hope the Tigers can keep it up, but I see a lot of the same from last year. Hopefully we can fix these trends and start kicking some ass.
Start kicking some ass? We would be in the playoffs if the season ended today. Tigers on pace for 108 wins!!!
Cabrera on pace for 108 HR's and 378 RBI all the while hitting a cool .571
2 days ago we were on pace to win 162. Thats a large change in projection, hopefully that doesn't continue.
1 day ago we were on a pace to win 81 games. 108 is a large change in projection, hopefully that does continue :)
Go Tribe! I do like the pitching matchups this series
That video never gets old but I'm still not over 2006 and won't be until we win the series.
I just said that to my best friend. I get chills whenever I see that Maggs walk off HR. I remember it being the weekend, we were partying at a friends house and it basically went dead as we were all around the tv, then as soon as Maggs hit the HR the place went crazy again.
And why did they lose to the Cardinals? Man they had sumthin like 84 wins that year.
