OT - Sunday Night Football - Lions/Packers
Pretty good showing by the Lions so far. This is basically their Super Bowl. Durham had a catch even better than Avant's from today. Similar one armed snagged, but full extension AND in really crappy weather.
And don't celebrate for 15 seconds in Lambeau, that length of celebration is reserved for the home team and their short hop into the stands.

Silence is fucking underrated in NFL announcing. I swear if the crowd gets loud and the game atmosphere gets interesting, the announcers just spew their unnecessary or redundant comments even louder.
And they're horrible in general.

So who us coaching the lions next year? Cower? Gruden? Narduzzi?

If you think Schwartz is getting canned this year you truly have no idea how the Ford's work. He deserves one more year and if they underachieve again then he should rightly be fired.

Well in that case, never mind!

Does anyone besides Calvin go up to make a play on the ball? Scheffler sticks one arm out on 3rd down, Durham just watches balls fall in front of him. Damnit I miss Burleson and Broyles.

I, without a doubt, am more intelligent than the Lions coaching staff. 8 seconds before 2 minute warning with a punt upcoming and they use their last timeout. Have they ever fucking watched how much time a punt takes? Holy shit.

What's with Stafford's side-arm bullshit?

Looking at http://www.nfl.com/teams/statistics?team=det, the Lions have outgained their opponents over the year by about 900 yards, and they have 50 more first downs over the year. They have been outscored by 19 points this year overall, and have a -6 turnover ratio.
Unfortunately, these stats do not include complete dumbass plays (CDPs). I'm sure the Lions are at a +50 for that this year....

Stafford is wildly overrated. Can't be a good team. In fact, only one win vs a team with a winning record. Completion percentage is really low and his costly turnovers are killer

Did you just go full retard? How are you wildly overrated when you throw for over 5,000 yards and 41 TDs? He's completing 3% few passes this year than last, which is hardly a big drop off and a 60% completion percantage is not low. It doesn't help your percentage when your team leads the NFL in dropped passes.
Here's a list of QBs with a higher completion % than Stafford. The only ones I'd rather have than him are Peyton, Brady, Rodgers, and Brees.
Do you even watch Lions games? He bails this team out so fucking often it's not even funny. People here don't know what a QB looks like. Stafford is an excellent QB. He makes great reads and changes plays as necessary really well. His biggest problem is he has a little Favre gunslinger in him but he's still young and coachable. Seriously watch him, he completes passes QBs have no business completing.

(I'd like to see) Manti Te'o
(what is more likely for cursed Lions) Matt McGloin

Anyone else hate seeing how wide our DE's rush? Always seems so out of the play leaving gaping holes for RB's to run through. Also I thought Vanden Bosch was supposed to be good. Dude has done dick since he's been here

and they were not hired or even interviewed by the Fords for HC:
Bill Belicheck
Raymond Berry (took Patriots to Super Bowl)
Chuck Knox (7 division titles with Rams, Bills, and Seahawks)
Marty Schottenheimer (6 division titles with Browns and Chiefs, incl. 3 AFC title games)
Don Shula (all time leader in wins, 6 Super Bowls with 2 teams)
