Can we pool our collective investigative powers into determining why the sports world and national media have embraced Pitbull so intensely?  You can't watch any major event without having this goon perform at halftime.

Why the hate for Pitbull?  I understand he isn't talented, but he's roughly equivalent to Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, pretty much every "rapper" post-1999, and Katy Perry... Pitbull is just better at marketing himself.  Congrats Pitbull - you win in the game of capitalism, he's laughing all the way to the bank.  If you don't like him, don't watch his performance and don't buy the products he endorses, those are the only actions/words corporations are going to listen to.

Infatuation with talent-less people (and trying to lay claim that they are talented: see the Grammy Awards).  And yes, man do I dislike Pitbull and the noise pollution he puts out.

Edit: This was all in response to the first poster's comment on Pitbull, the fine lad he is.

Finishing a Dos Equis Amber Ale my uncle gifted me over Xmas, while watching the NBA All-Star Game (the dunk contest was soooo underwhelming, but I enjoyed the 3-pt shootout - congrats to Kevin Love).

Can the motherfucker(s) who's been serially negging me tonight step out into the light and reveal himself?  I've been pretty transparent about who I neg and why, but this is just pathetic and cowardly.  You can't hurt me, bro.

But yes, I'm drinking rum and coke and flipping between the all-star game and TWD. Guess which has been more compelling?

Usually the only non-trolling posts I won't upvote are the "this wasn't flamebait" type posts, but I went through and plussed every post on the thread.

Negs need to go back to counting for both the person getting negged and doing the negging, so people who neg an entire thread will eventually not have the ability to neg anymore.

ealier.  Absolutley phenomenal.  Now hanging and drinking a Molson Canadian - the finest lager ever brewed.  And wondering why the __ _____ Company needs me on-site at 0530.

I'm the on call doc in the ER.  Funny how no one gets sick when there's good sh*t to watch on TV.  I worked the Super Bowl too and spent my time reading posts about TV shows on mgoblog.com.  Deja vous.

Halloween 2009 was on a Saturday and I took my wife to the ER in the early evening.  We thought it might be busy, but the place was empty. We live in central Oklahoma and the OU football game was still going.  We asked about how empty the place was, and the ER doctor made the comment that as soon as the game was over the place would fill up, and sure enough, as we were leaving, just after the game finished, the people came pouring in.

If anyone wants to invest in some Schaudenfreude, I worked in Hollywood for the last several years. I'm watching the Oscars with my mom, here in Michigan, and I saw the bit where actors were talking about why they got into acting and what movie did it.

I, having been an actor, then having went to UM for film instead, fell out of it and like many filmmakers had little respect for actors. This was intensified when I worked at a major talent agency in the talent department. One of those actors I worked with was Rashida Jones.

In seeing this Oscars-loving-actors spectacle, I went on a tirade saying why I thought that actors were pawns and why they don't matter and why their talent is limited. My mom pointed out that my phone was on beneath me. It turned out, somehow my iPhone had dialed Rashida Jones, and it had been recording that whole thing on her voicemail the whole time.

Ok.

I negged this.

Why?  Because you could google this.  You could search on IMDB.  You could youtube it.  You could do a lot of things that don't involve posting on mgoblog in order to find out who Rashida Jones is.

(but she's an actress, I know her from The Office, Parks and Recreation, and I Love You Man).

I Googled her and once I found out she was on the Office I realized why I had never heard of her because I never watched that show other than a passing minute or two.  Dreadfully stupid.  The hand held/shakey cam is terrible.

She did graduate from the Michigan of the East: Harvard.  So she has that going for her.

I feel left out right now. You can call me a douche in exchange for me calling you a douche. I'd also like to take this time to make sure that the douche users on this site don't actually exchange real douches with other douche users. That's not sanitary. So unless you want to die, don't trade douches.

I bet that you never expected to read about douches on MGoBlog tonight, did you?

I have to go pick up megangoblue at about two when the team bus gets back from Myrtle Beach, so no drinking for me tonight. I put some cherries in some cheap rye, so maybe I'll snack on a few of those.

I am going to try making Brian's wife's recipe from her front page redirect incident this week, so we'll see how that goes. I just spent like forty bucks on some pretty esoteric (for me at least) supplies from the grocery store, so it better be damn good.

Rick and Shane also talked about it after they killed those two security guard zombies.  My question is, if the infection comes just from being scratched, don't you think it would also be volatile enough to spread via infected blood getting into open wounds?  Rick and Shane had all kinds of cuts and scrapes in this episode, and there was definitely some blood mixing.

Of course, I'm not saying that they will become zombies, but I see it as a minor error in the show.

My theory is that everybody is already infected and that once you die your brainstem reanimates and you become a walker.  A bite, realistically speaking, would be very dangerous for all the dead infectious tissue in the mouth would make one very ill, but wouldn't necessarily kill you or accelerate the process of becoming a walker.

Walter White is a bad ass

Indeed.  But I'm kinda-sorta bummed Comcast On Demand does not have Season 4 available right now.  I missed most of that season and I'd like to catch up before Season 5.  They'll probably put it up as a run-in to Season 5.

"Oprah, Barbra Walters, and your wife. You got to !@#$ one, marry one, kill one...GO!"

Which one I marry is easy ... but the other two?  I'm still pondering that.  And the answer is not obvious.
