Okay, one of you Engin students have to be able to create a program that we could link to so that every 10 minutes our vote would automatically be recasted. North Campus don't fail me now!!! Edit: 55% (bad guys) to 45% with 1066 votes

...But I don't see how voting for a restaurant in which one has never eaten displays any of the integrity one would expect from a Michigan fan. I remember when the ABB website tried to fix a contest like this. Gregg Allman's daughter or niece Layla was in a battle of the bands which had a minor recording deal as the first prize. I was appalled when they reached out to their community to do what is being asked here. They had the power of the ABB fanbase, which is considerable, voting for someone most of them didn't bother to listen to. It was even worse because anyone in the extended ABB family who has ever wanted to record has had ample opportunity because of their connections, while none of their competition had a connection remotely like this. Luckily, justice was done and they finished second to a band that worked their asses off and won with talent, not connections. I live in the St Pete area and have watched my favorite band win a lot of Creative Loafing's awards by encouraging voters, but it was done fair and square by encouraging their actual fans to vote. If your favorite restaurant deserves to win, I hope it does. Conversely, if it doesn't, I hope it doesn't. But I won't stuff a ballot box for a place where I have never eaten.

+1. I agree with your example on how that is unethical and showing a total lack of class but this is different to me. To be able to get a Michigan section in a restaurant in Gator country would be bitter sweet.

I, for one, am glad that someone has taken a stand on this critical issue. I would not be able to sleep at night if I voted in an online contest over the best greasy fish sandwich on the Suncoast, without actually having consumed said greasy fish sandwich. We all know the power of the Suncoast 941 blog, I suggest all of you consider this choice with the gravity it deserves.

I suppose I deserve that, fair enough. I hope you and Tater turn yourselves in when you hit 36 in a 35 mph zone, because a Michigan fan wouldn't break the law nor vote in an online fish sandwich contest. A Michigan man also knows the true meaning of apostrophes, as in "You're pretty cool." Now that was douchy.

I think Pincher's Crab Shack is just pinchy... Sorry Tater, I see where your coming from, but that avatar is too awesome to deny. Plus, it may get a Michigan part of a Florida bar--that's always worth voting for.

Is that "Pinchie the Crab" as your avatar pic? Hopefully "your friend" wins the contest! I just voted and it's 52%-48%. Definitely within reach.

Um Tater the competition all post on M-live and are going to start a Rosenpuke wing in their restaurants if they win, so get going. EDIT I had to check back here because I forgot who I was supposed to vote for. GO PINCHERS

So. Taters view: "this is unethical because back in the day some famous people got their fans to vote for their kids to win a small recording deal"... My view Pinchers wins a bragging rights only contest, we win a small corner of Florida as our own. And seriously Tater.. its Tebow. Getting smashed by the good guys.

Tater, I just received information on good authority that Dex and his WLA cronies are chain smoking in the back of the Anna Maria Oyster Bar and foolishly casting aspersions concerning your M fandom. So please, I humbly beseech you, vote for Pinchers.
