OT: Suggestion to NCAA Competition Committee RE: Indiana Basketball Games

Submitted by Muttley on

Anyone watching Tom Crean closely last night probably realized that he was being controlled by a lucky few selected home viewers with a joystick.  I had a turn.

Joystick-Left to make him walk left, Joystick-Right to go right.  Button A for Clap-Clap-Clap.

But there was no occation to use Button B = Jump.

My suggestion to the NCAA competition committee is to roll barrels at Tom Crean during the game to increase the level of difficulty for the at-home contestants.

Oh, and maybe throw in a quickie w/ Roseanne Barr during timeouts.

Thought this was going to be a thread filled with complaints about how Indiana gets all the calls or something like that.  Glad I was wrong.

In all seriousness Crean has done a much better job with in game coaching than I had given him credit for while he was at Marquette... even if they did get a benefit of the calls in their two biggest upsets (the Ohio State game was more egregious than the UK one imo.)

They took it right at UK tonight and if Kentucky shot their normal percentage from the free throw line or wasn't on fire from 3 that game would have come down to the wire. Both teams played about as well as they could. IU will be SCARY good next year once they add their first natural PG in roughly 10 years (Ferrell.) They should be favorites for a top 3 finish in the B1G and I would not be surprised if they win 14 games in conference. If Zeller stays (and he probably will) that's a legit Final Four contender with Hulls being able to play the 1 and 2 and the athleticism upgrade off the bench at the 4/5.

Granted, the upgrade from the graduating Pritchard to a bucket of sand is probably marked. But Hanner Perea is going to turn some heads next year.
