Where the hell is this guy? Not that I miss him, but sadly he was once ESPN's voice of the NBA. I remember they gave him his own show which was naturally awful, and that was the last I ever saw of him. Any chance he is floating around on some bullshit foxsports show a la Max Kellerman, another ESPN has-been?
OT - Stephen A. Smith
wiki says that espn "wanted to move in a different direction" and Smith left espn on May 1, 2009. The only other info is that he did a Michael Jackson memorial service commentary and is a regular guest on MSNBC shows.
If ever there was someone that should speak for a Michael Jackson memorial, it's Stephen A. Smith.
... oh wait, sorry, wrong post(s)...
but at least he spoke his mind, i'll give him that.
he was fired for revoking man cards without the proper license.
He does a daily morning show for Fox Sports Radio. I think it is from 7 to 10 am. It is replayed from 10 to 1.
Fox is the perfect place for a loudmouth with no credentials like Smith
read up on why max kellerman left ESPN if you don't know. Tragic story behind that one
I didn't think that the situation with his brother had anything to do with his leaving ESPN. Is there more to the story than is in the public domain?
I found Stephen A. Smith pompous and annoying so I can't say I've noticed that he's been gone. Max Kellerman, on the other hand, despite all the loudness was always solid on boxing.
I always found joy watching him debate Skip Bayless.
HOW CAN YOU COMMENT ON A STEPHEN A SMITH THREAD WITHOUT USING ALL CAPITAL LETTERS?! IF EVER THERE WAS A THREAD THAT DEMANDED THE CAPS LOCK, THIS IS THE ONE!
And we need to call him by his real name: SCREAMIN' A. SMITH.
Didn't he have some sort of mental breakdown? I remember being on a long car ride and he was on the radio talking about how he was having a really hard time and only a few weeks later the guy vanished.
I listen to him every morning on the way to work.
