OT: Stanley Cup Finals Game 6. Chicago at Boston

Submitted by Doc Brown on

I am suprised this thread has not been created. It is the start of the 2nd period, Boston leads 1-0. Boston has 20 seconds of a power play. Chicago is lucky to only be down 1-0 after Boston came out going all out.

Game is on the CBC and NBC. (WADT channel 38 for those in Detroit due to the fireworks...doh...)

Boston's confidence looked shaken as they missed a few opportunities toward the end of the 1st. They aren't getting the chances this period. If the Bruins don't score this period or early in the 3rd, I see Chicago pulling it out

I hate these teams.  In fact, these are my two least favorite teams in the NHL, especially as a Wings and Habs fan.  Please lose, Chicago.

All I can say is:

LOL @ Boston.  That has to be one of the worst collapses in sports history.  Not only letting the opponent tie it up, but then letting them score again less than 1/2 a minute later?  It's the hockey version of Buckner.  Good, Boston sports fans are the absolute worst.

Boston fans booing.  Typical poor sports as usual.  Probably one of the bottom 2-3 sports cities in the US in terms of their fans.  Bunch of obnoxious drunks who can barely speak intelligible English with those potatoes in their mouths.

before Bettman hit the ice. While I agree that Bettman deserves to be booed (and much worse) it is clear the booing started up long before Bettman got out there. It just got much much louder once he was out there, because he's a douchenozzle. But Boston just lost on their home ice. Had the series gone to game 7 and the Hawks lost at home, I'm sure plenty of Chicagoans would've been booing the Bruins celebrating on their home ice too.

He didn't do shit except score a few goals are you fucking kidding me?! Even Crawford deserves it more

Kane is well down the list of potential CS winners.  Crawford struck me as a no-brainer, but if for some reason you are dumb enough to have overlooked a stellar wire-to-wire performance by him, Kane finishes no better than sixth on the list of remaining candidates.  Toews (who gifted Kane three of his goals with hard work and perfect passes, and oh by the way plays both ways), Keith, Seabrook (2 x GWG in OT in the Finals), Shaw and Bickell were all much bigger contributors.

I thought sportswriters voted on the CAS, not tenth grade girls from Palos Heights.
