Chill, it's not apocalyptic. We have a good chance of winning out and making the B1G Championship game if we handle our business.

Let's get our sanity back in two weeks and hang a big ol number on Purdue to right the ship.

Here's how we win it:

 - MSU loses to Wisconsin.  Book that one.

 - MSU does its annual Sparty thing and gets geeked up to beat Michigan, then loses to someone like Iowa or Northwestern.

 - We beat Purdue, iowa, Ill, Neb, Ohio State.  All of these teams have flaws and can be beaten.  Not a given of course, but it can be done.

None of the above is all that unimaginable.

Another loss to sparty definitely hurts, but we have a chance to right the ship next week vs Purdue, and win a couple big games on the road.  GO BLUE!!!

Granted, it was MSU, but we're 6-1, and if we play the  sort of football we're able to play, we can minimally go 3-2 and possibly do better. It's not an apocalypse. It's a pothole on the road to maybe winning our division.

I just hope that the coaches can learn from everything that went wrong today. We saw that in the ND game when Mattison called Cover 0 and got too cute we got burned for ND's final TD. That taught Mattison he didn't have the personnel to do a lot of complex NFL schemes, and he has done better with what he has.

I think Borges' cuteness moment was that 4th and 1 playcall. I still don't understand it but I hope he can turn it around going forward. This is now a big enough spread of what he has seen from everyone that he should be able to work some stuff out for the remaining games.

Lastly I hate Gholston.

I hope that someone in the press core has the balls to ask Dantonio (1) Is that the way you coach your players and (2) Are you proud of the way your team played?

And he'll reply:

1) I coach my players to win - and we won.

2) I'm proud of our victory.

the whoor that he is.

The better question would be what, if any, discipline Gholston would be facing. Then you put him on the spot.

Hope the B1G can retroactively suspend players for his kind of BS. They had 3 or 4 hits on Dernard that were frankly outrageous,

Bless you all for thinking we can still win the division, but it ain't happening.  We apparently all did not get the same reality check as I did today.  This year's team is better than those of recent years, yes.  However, this isn't any type of championship team.  Feels good knowing we have a competent coach, but large holes still exist.

I saw a man holding his young daughter and a huge gust of wind blow his hat off. Seeing a narrow window of opportunity to catch the hat before it blew away, I chased it down and brought it back to him. The fact that it was a Spartan hat didn't enter into the equation.

Earlier my friend, a Michigan fan, had his hat pulled off of his head and thrown out of the stadium. I can't even describe the anger that coursed through my body as that, and the rest of the game transpired. All of the buffoonery mirrored on and off the field by MSU people was really a sight to behold. I'm embarrassed for them; the very worst of the mob mentality seems to skyrocket when they all get together.

I'm furious about how this whole day played out. I can accept UM losing a football game but not to these thugs, and not to that fanbase. I recently graduated from the University of Michigan and I can say with absolute conviction that real-life learning is far more instructive than that done only in the classroom. Because today, I learned what the Michigan Difference actually is.

I don't think the season is in any jeopardy really, we do have a winnable schedule and adjustments will be made. The shitty part about today is the last four years, and Lil Bro taking us behind the woodshed again. Hoke will lead us back, I'm convinced; this team has a resilience to it.

The seaon isn't in jeapordy. 11-1 is still very realistic. I'm also of the opinion that losing isn't the worst thing, but losing in this manner to people like this is. I honestly don't remember what it feels like to watch my team lose to MSU in a non-controversial manner.

And I realize this may sound like sour grapes, but am I the only one who thinks that MSU gets away with an absurd amount of holding against Michigan? Caveats about the fact that the refs could probably find holding on every play in footblal at every level but it seems like it's ridiculously blatant against MSU year in and year out.

Ah well. I'm off to my bachelor party to get blitzed out of my mind, come home smelling of cheap perfume and coated in glitter then roll out of bed in time to cheer for the Lions.

or 10-2 or 9-3 and maybe not even 8-4 without a running game other than Denard, and with a DL that is incapable of putting meaningful pressure on an opposing QB on its own.
