OT: The Spring League

Submitted by Skiptoomylou22 on

Tomorrow (1pm) and Sunday (2pm) mark the first and second games of the 2017 Spring League season

The Spring League was created in early 2016 to serve as an instructional league and developmental platform for professional football talent. All teams conduct practices and "live" exhibition games that are played in accordance to NFL rules. Our teaching staffs are composed exclusively of individuals with NFL coaching experience. On field practices and games are supplemented with classroom instruction and film study...

It is more or less a series of games for free agents trying to get exposure and a shot with an NFL team. Most notable of this years group are Ahmad Bradshaw, Brandon Browner, Noel Devine, Greg Hardy, Ben Tate and Kellen Winslow amongst some other recognizable names like Ricky Stanzi.

The game is not completely OT as former Michigan players Josh Furman and James Ross are also competing. The games will apparently be viewable on Facebook. It sounds like a really interesting concept and worth checking out before the Michigan spring game replay on BTN.
